Luxury home furnishings brand RH (formerly Restoration Hardware) has officially opened its first flagship store in Quebec: RH Montreal, The Gallery at Royalmount. This expansive new location offers more than just furniture retail—it embodies the RH brand’s immersive lifestyle experience, where design, architecture, and hospitality converge.
The gallery is located within Royalmount, a luxury retail and lifestyle complex that opened in 2024. Situated at the intersection of Décarie and Metropolitan Highways in the heart of Montreal, Royalmount is home to world-renowned luxury brands such as Louis Vuitton, Gucci, and Rolex, making it one of Quebec’s premier high-end shopping destinations.
Spanning three levels and approximately 50,000 square feet, RH Montreal is a physical manifestation of the brand’s philosophy of merging retail, residential, and hospitality. The space goes beyond showcasing furniture, lighting, and textiles—it serves as a destination for curated design services and elevated dining.
The building’s exterior features artisanal craftsmanship, combining hand-molded Italian bricks in a parchment cream tone with grand bronze-and-glass entry doors. Upon entering, visitors are welcomed through 10-foot-tall doors into a grand interior defined by floor-to-ceiling columns and curated spaces showcasing the RH Interiors and RH Modern collections.
The second level houses a 1,400-square-foot RH Interior Design Studio, a dedicated rug showroom, and expansive textile and furniture libraries, offering fully personalized interior planning for clients seeking bespoke solutions.
At the very top of the gallery is the brand’s hospitality centerpiece: RH Restaurant & Terrace. Anchored by an open kitchen clad in Taj Mahal stone, the restaurant is surrounded by heritage olive trees, sparkling chandeliers, and a central fountain. It offers seasonal classic dishes and fresh seafood, with the dining space naturally extending onto a beautifully landscaped rooftop terrace, designed to deliver a seamless and serene experience.
These dramatic spaces were made possible through the collaboration between the RH team and Axxys Construction Group. Speaking about the project, Yohan Ohayon, President of Axxys Construction Group, shared:
“This is more than just a retail space — it’s a 49,000 sq. ft. castle of design, inside and out. A true landmark that embodies elegance, strength, and vision.”
This new opening marks RH’s second flagship in Canada, following the debut of RH Toronto, The Gallery at Yorkdale, in 2017. In recent years, RH has continued expanding globally with gallery openings in major cities, including Chicago, San Francisco, and Aynho Park in England, reinforcing its evolution from a retail brand into a full-fledged global luxury platform.
