The Mallorca-based Spanish footwear brand, Camper, has announced “Karst Finch,” a new footwear model developed as part of its second collaborative project with ISSEY MIYAKE. First unveiled during the Spring/Summer 2026 collection, the model is set for a global launch on April 15.
The series was designed through a collaboration between ISSEY MIYAKE designer Satoshi Kondo and Camper. Rooted in the shared values of craftsmanship and innovation, the project explores a reinterpretation of the relationship between the human body and creativity in everyday life.
From “A Piece of Cloth” to Sneakers: An Evolving Concept
In this second installment, Karst Finch marks the partnership’s first sneaker. While the previous model, Peu Form, was designed to wrap the foot like a “second skin,” this new design more directly expresses the concept of “walking freely.”
The design draws inspiration from the vibrant plumage of finch birds. This is combined with Camper’s “Karst” outsole, inspired by rocky landscapes, merging organic elements from nature with functional product design.
Balancing Lightness and Performance
Karst Finch features a stretch-knit upper, with a structure inspired by Mary Jane shoes to enhance comfort and fit. It is equipped with Camper’s proprietary ReXarge® supercritical foam midsole for cushioning, along with a Vibram® outsole that provides strong grip.
The color lineup includes variations based on black, light yellow, light beige, and gray. Each pair comes with two sets of socks—either in matching or contrasting colors—allowing for flexible styling options.
Global Release and Availability
The sizing ranges from EU 35–40 for women and 39–45 for men. The collection is set for global release on April 15, with availability across Camper and ISSEY MIYAKE flagship stores, official online platforms, and select international retailers.
In the United States, the model is priced at approximately $320–$350, depending on the retailer, positioning it within the premium designer sneaker segment.
Pre-orders have already opened via Camper’s official U.S. website, with shipments scheduled for mid-April 2026, aligning with the global launch timeline.
