On February 24, Diesel presented its Fall/Winter 2026 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
This season, Creative Director Glenn Martens presented a show that brought the brand’s history directly onto the runway. The theme was the “walk of shame.” Yet rather than symbolizing regret or failure, it was reframed as a narrative of self-affirmation — celebrating the confidence of walking proudly the morning after an unforgettable night, even slightly undone.
“This collection is about waking up in a place, with no idea what happened last night, and you are the most glorious person ever. When you sneak away from the hotel room of the person who you don’t know, you are truly at your best. These are super-wearable pieces for successful living, the essence of Diesel,” Martens said.
Disorder is not weakness. It is proof of having fully lived, a trace of enjoyment and authenticity. This season, Diesel translates that sensibility into fashion.
A Set That Pulls the Archive Into the Present
At the center of the venue stood an overwhelming array of objects and campaign props representing nearly fifty years of Diesel’s history. Logo-branded items, balloons, figurines, plush toys, even slices of pizza — all coexisted in a space that felt vibrant, slightly excessive, and unmistakably humorous.

This was not nostalgia. It was energy in motion. Rather than polishing the past, Diesel presented it as it was. The brand’s bold spirit resonated throughout the entire space.
The Evolution of Denim
Denim remains at the core of the collection. Yet this season, its expression has shifted. Jeans treated with resin to permanently fix their creases appear as though a moment of movement has been frozen in time. Slim silhouettes featuring back slits that reveal high heels balance effortlessness with subtle sensuality.
Twisted check miniskirts and knit tops wrapped around the body also stood out. These are not perfectly symmetrical silhouettes. By intentionally disrupting balance, the garments bring out the individuality of the wearer.

Material and Color in Contrast
Coats constructed from layered wool and fabrics treated with cracked finishes reveal surfaces in flux. Their irregularity makes them feel real.
At the same time, bold hues — electric blue, vivid orange, pastel leather — punctuate the collection. The interplay between muted tones and striking color evokes the transition from night to morning.
In accessories, the new “D-One” bag made its debut. Defined by multi-buckled straps, it combines functionality with strong design presence. New eyewear and jewelry further reinforced the styling with a confident edge.

Rethinking the Meaning of “Success”
For Glenn Martens, “successful living” is not about a perfectly controlled life. It is about fully embracing the night, becoming slightly undone, and still walking forward with confidence.
