mintdesigns presented its Spring/Summer 2026 collection online.
The theme this season is “BLUR.” Following on from the previous season, the collection was unveiled as a film focusing on the “shape of clothing,” delving deeper into the brand’s long-standing exploration of the concept of boundaries.
The collection reinterprets not only the shapes of garments themselves but also the boundaries of gender, and even established categories such as standard, classic, and traditional styles. By incorporating graphics and textiles with intentionally blurred outlines, the designs evoke a sense of haze both visually and structurally. The styling, where the same item is worn by both female and male models in distinct ways, succinctly embodies the brand’s stance of effortlessly transcending gender frameworks.
For hair and makeup, natural looks were contrasted with doll-like glitter stickers inspired by the collection’s graphics, used as headpieces. As the show progressed, the stickers gradually covered the models’ faces, ultimately erasing them—a symbolic representation of the dissolution of boundaries.
The film was shot at the KAIT Plaza of Kanagawa Institute of Technology, emphasizing the interplay of light and shadow to present a vision of a new, bright, and open world.
