On February 10, Ralph Lauren unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection ahead of New York Fashion Week.

At 86, Ralph Lauren continues to operate with remarkable creative momentum. In just the past month, he returned his New York–based house to the Milan Men’s Fashion Week calendar, designed Team USA’s official uniforms for the Milano Cortina 2026 Winter Olympics, and presented this latest collection. The show was staged at the Jack Shainman Gallery in downtown Manhattan. Towering murals of an imagined forest stretched from floor to ceiling, while Persian rugs lined the runway. The moody, mist-laden woodland setting created an atmosphere that felt at once romantic and faintly mythic.

“I love the adventure of fashion,” Lauren said. “The Fall 2026 collection is inspired by that kind of renegade spirit and the confidence of the woman who will wear it in her own personal way — to tell her own story.”

The show opened with Gigi Hadid, who stepped onto the runway in a Donegal tweed corset paired with a matching pencil skirt, cinched with a chain-link belt, and layered over a dark-toned knit. More than fifty distinctive materials were used this season: tweed, velvet, jacquard, shearling, leather, and metallic foils. Lauren employed subtle illusions, reinterpreting the texture of Donegal tweed through cashmere knits and overprinting velvet column dresses with micro-sequins. The depth of craftsmanship was unmistakable.

An earthy palette—deep soil browns, stone-like grays, forest greens—anchored the collection. These grounded tones tempered any theatricality, bringing fantasy back to reality. Lauren’s belief that heritage is not stagnation but evolution was clearly expressed through both material and color.
