On September 10, Ralph Lauren unveiled its Spring/Summer 2026 collection ahead of New York Fashion Week.
The show took place inside the brand’s Madison Avenue headquarters at “650 Madison.” Within this home ground, a star-studded front row, including Laura Dern, Naomi Watts, Jessica Chastain, Oprah Winfrey, and Gayle King, set the stage for an atmosphere of radiant anticipation.
The Coexistence of Strength and Sensuality
This season, Ralph Lauren defined his vision around the duality of “strength” and “sensuality.” The opening looks set the tone: an off-white long gown paired with a black bralette, and a red corset-style sundress. Both exuded unapologetic power while their flowing hemlines revealed a softer femininity. Wide-brimmed straw hats added a dramatic touch, refreshing the codes of classic summer style.
For over half a century, Ralph Lauren has drawn inspiration from the natural beauty and timeless elegance of summers spent with his family in the Hamptons. The vacation-inflected elements of this collection seemed to extend the narrative of his Spring/Summer 2025 show, presented in that very setting.

Tailoring and Structured Femininity
Elsewhere, the collection projected the strength of menswear into a feminine vision through precise tailoring. White suits appeared throughout—reinterpreting polo coats and trenches with modern ease—presenting silhouettes that balanced functionality with elegance.

Dresses with Multifaceted Expressions
Eveningwear centered on a palette of red and black, with flowing pleats and asymmetric cuts catching the eye. A one-shoulder gown, with draping that enveloped the body and a daring cutout at the waist, struck a sensual balance and commanded presence with every step. A black dress fully embroidered with delicate sequins shimmered under the lights, transforming movement into an art piece.
Mid-show, 1940s-inspired large floral prints and lightweight tunic shirt dresses brought a sense of nostalgia, while innovative fabrications underscored the house’s craft. Standouts included a ruffled bustier crafted from stretch leather and a linen skirt suit embroidered with lashes-thin strips of leather—pieces that fused couture-level precision with modern sensibility. Here, Ralph Lauren once again demonstrated his mastery of blending nostalgia and modernity.

Accessories and Details
Accessories played a defining role in completing the season’s looks. Oversized, sculptural jewelry amplified the presence of the clothes; a gleaming metallic pendant, for example, lent sculptural depth to a crisp white jacket, drawing the eye to the neckline.
Bags also spoke to the theme of craftsmanship and modernity, with a new iteration of The Ralph featuring woven and textured leather variations. At the feet, brogues, espadrilles, and lace-up sandals offered a wide array of options, balancing relaxed ease with refined sophistication.

Rooted in the tradition of menswear yet reimagined through the multifaceted lens of contemporary femininity, Ralph Lauren’s Spring/Summer 2026 collection encompassed strength and sensuality, classicism and modernity, simplicity and ornamentation. By embracing all of these dimensions, the designer reaffirmed his role as the enduring symbol of American luxury.
On the same day, the nominations for the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards were also announced. Ralph Lauren was selected in the Womenswear Designer of the Year category. Should he claim the honor once again, it would mark his tenth award—a historic milestone within the industry.
