On September 12, Sergio Hudson unveiled his Spring/Summer 2026 collection at New York Fashion Week.
This season’s theme was a “cultural and artistic homecoming.” Anchored by custom mud cloth digitized and reimagined in pop art hues, the collection merged the brand’s signature vibrant colors with sharp tailoring.
On the runway, jewel-toned silks, embroidered velvets, and eveningwear rich with meticulous handwork appeared. Powerful silhouettes harmonized with vivid hues to evoke a timeless elegance that carries from spring into fall. Hudson described “returning to roots” as having a dual meaning: drawing inspiration from African prints and fabrications, while also revisiting the bold colors and sharp tailoring that have defined the brand since its inception. Underneath it all lay his wish to bring light and joy to a heavy time.
The show also introduced a capsule collaboration with Esor Marie, adding a fresh perspective to Sergio Hudson’s signature powerful elegance.
