On February 27, Sportmax unveiled its Fall/Winter 2026 collection at Milan Fashion Week.
The keyword this season is “Dynamism.” It is not merely about movement. Rather, it is a concept rendered through the language of clothing—one that portrays a woman who continues to move forward while transforming herself in response to her environment and circumstances. By stripping away excess decoration and focusing on the tension between form and function, the collection presents a wardrobe that responds intuitively to the body of the wearer.
Garments That Transform Form
At the core of the collection lies Sportmax’s signature double-face fabric. This season, an experimental approach to the neckline stood out in particular. High collars folded like origami and sculptural constructions rising around the neck created architectural frames for the face, becoming the focal point of each look.
Most emblematic was the gilet that opened the show, defined by its bold origami collar. In a minimal cream ensemble, sharp linear cutting coexisted quietly with fluid elongated lines, generating a subtle yet palpable tension. Designed with layering in mind, the piece allows its impression to shift freely depending on the choice of innerwear and bottoms—an embodiment of true versatility.
Dramatic transformations from long to short silhouettes, detachable contrast collars, wrap and cinch details—these convertible elements redefine clothing not as a fixed form, but as something that reaches its final shape through the movement of the wearer. This is the essence of this season’s dynamism.

The Tension Born of Material Juxtaposition
Another defining pillar of the season is the juxtaposition of contrasting materials and textures. Suede and leather, matte and shine, sheer and opaque—by placing opposing elements side by side, the collection generates a continuous visual tension.
A glossy beige coat commanded presence through voluminous shoulders and a lustrous surface, while vivid red pumps drew the eye with precision. In the black looks, sheer overlays introduced fluidity, counterbalanced by leather gloves and crocodile-effect boots that grounded the ensemble with strength and weight.
Body-contouring knits and jerseys created graphic effects through texture, refining silhouettes to their essential core. Despite being an autumn/winter collection, the pronounced sense of lightness succinctly expressed Sportmax’s modern elegance.

The Evolution of Deconstructed Tailoring
Tailoring emerged as another crucial axis of expression. A structured black suit, paired with an asymmetrical inner layer, deconstructed classic codes and repositioned them within a new context. Ornamentation was reduced to its bare minimum; subtle glimmers and contrast trims functioned as restrained, quiet accents.
Leather featured prominently as well. A quilted black vest and a brown leather jacket with a fur collar navigated the space between functionality and luxury. These pieces carried not nostalgia for the past, but a grounded realism for living in the present.

Accessories That Complete the Portrait
Against the restraint of the wardrobe, accessories asserted a confident presence. Colored crocodile-effect printed leather earrings, a clutch recalling John Baldessari’s Baldessari dots, and metallic fringe introduced an intellectual playfulness rooted in art references.
Texan boots and wedge heels further defined the Sportmax woman—strong yet supple, practical yet refined. It is a confident proposition for women who wear this duality with ease.

For women who understand quality, refuse compromise, and possess a clear sense of direction, Sportmax Fall/Winter 2026 proposes a wardrobe for moving forward without fear of change.
Not nostalgia, but fashion for living in the present.
