Zara Home, the home furnishing brand under the Inditex group, has launched a new collaboration collection with New York-based stylist and creative director Colin King, available now via its online store.
A Collection Centered on Objects
Rather than statement pieces, the collection proposes a quieter kind of presence — objects that blend into daily life without demanding attention. Vessels, lamps, candleholders, trays, boxes, and one-of-a-kind sculptures make up the lineup, each expressing the subtle power of form and material through sculptural presence and conceptual depth.
The collection is rooted in the concept of “Modern Heritage,” reinterpreting objects as timeless companions. Each piece exists in the tension between opposing forces — structure and chance, restraint and refinement, precision and natural asymmetry. Designed as a unified family of forms, the result is a collection of quiet, contemplative elegance.
Materials as Meaning
In this collection, materials carry weight beyond their craft. Brass and copper vases and lamps, onyx boxes, and iridescent mouth-blown glass vessels each bring their own character while existing within a cohesive vision. Woven baskets finished in silver plate and hand-lacquered pieces speak to the richness of traditional craftsmanship. The interplay of transparency and opacity, gloss and matte, heaviness and luminosity gives the collection its visual and tactile appeal.
Colin King on Living with Objects
King shared his thoughts on the collection: “The things we spend our days with affect us emotionally. They hold memory, quietly accumulating the days. For me, objects are companions — present without being imposing. Things that are carefully made invite stillness and warmth, awaken consciousness, and cast a subtle glow over the everyday. These pieces are quiet presences to live alongside, ways of accumulating small moments of beauty. They feel both new and familiar.”
The campaign visuals stay true to that vision — dark backgrounds, high-contrast color, and carefully composed arrangements that let each object speak with intention. Colors emerge naturally from the materials themselves, extending into tones of green, citrine, and red. The imagery emphasizes a sense of time and sculptural form, presenting objects not as decoration, but as vessels of memory, presence, and enduring value.
Colin King: An Unconventional Path
King’s background is notably distinct within the interiors world — he began his career as a dancer before transitioning into visual storytelling and interior styling. He now leads Colin King Studio, working across product design, creative direction, and collaborations with international brands. In 2023, he published Arranging Things (Rizzoli), a book exploring his approach to objects and their role in space, which resonated widely among design and interiors enthusiasts.
Zara Home, meanwhile, has grown from its founding in 2003 into a global presence across more than 60 markets as the home furnishing arm of the Inditex group. In recent years, the brand has leaned into creative collaborations — with King among others — expanding its reach across lifestyle categories.
The Zara Home x Colin King collection is available now on the Zara Home online store.
