New York-based luxury fashion house Carolina Herrera has announced that it will present its Spring/Summer 2026 collection in Madrid, Spain. The show is scheduled for September 18, 2025. While the venue remains undisclosed at this time, the brand will host a private dinner the night before, welcoming close friends and collaborators for an intimate experience that sets the tone for the collection inspired by the Spanish capital.
This marks the third installment in the brand’s “destination show” series, following the Resort collections held in Rio de Janeiro in 2023 and Mexico City in 2024. However, it will be the first time that Carolina Herrera’s main collection is presented outside of New York Fashion Week, making it a significant and unconventional move in the brand’s history.
Creative director Wes Gordon shared his thoughts on the decision to bring the show to Madrid: “Madrid has always been one of my favorite cities in the world—rich in history, art, and culture. It’s home to incredible creatives with a unique approach to beauty and joy. Every time I visit, I leave fully recharged with inspiration.”
This is not the brand’s first connection to Madrid. In 2023, Carolina Herrera partnered with the Thyssen-Bornemisza National Museum to sponsor the exhibition “Maestras – Women Masters,” a tribute to over 100 works by artists including Angelica Kauffman, Sonia Delaunay, and Artemisia Gentileschi, demonstrating a deep respect for Spanish culture.
Additionally, Gordon served as a judge for the 2024 Vogue España Fashion Fund, reflecting his ongoing engagement with Spain’s creative community.
The upcoming Madrid show is also expected to highlight Spanish craftsmanship and artistry through collaborations with local artisans and creatives, further emphasizing the brand’s commitment to cultural dialogue. In this city where heritage meets modernity, Carolina Herrera’s aesthetic is poised to evolve once again—with vibrance, reverence, and renewed inspiration.
