Louis Vuitton will launch a “Men’s Workwear Capsule Collection,” including footwear in collaboration with Timberland. This limited edition capsule collection is at the heart of the Fall/Winter 2024 Men’s Show: Paris to VA by Pharrell Williams, which takes place in Paris on January 16, 2024.
Louis Vuitton x Timberland’s highly anticipated workwear boot collection will be available for preorder on the official website and the LV App starting Thursday, July 18, 2024, and in select stores worldwide on Thursday, August 8, 2024. LV 6-INCH / Louis Vuitton x Timberland
The flagship product of this collection, the “LV 6-INCH” boots, has been reimagined through Louis Vuitton’s creative lens and crafted at the Fiesso d’Artico shoe atelier in Italy. Developed in collaboration with one of America’s iconic boot brands, this boot is available in two designs and several variations. It combines supple, high-quality Italian nubuck leather with a rubber lug outsole, emblematic of work boots, and features an insulation system and seam-sealed waterproof construction.
These boots are available in two nubuck leather colors, wheat and black, and are adorned with elegant LV monogram embossing. The lining of the tongue also features embossed monogramming, while the eyelets with the “Louis Vuitton” engraving and leather tags add further decorative touches.
LV BOOT / Louis Vuitton × Timberland
The “LV BOOT,” which enhances the silhouette of the “LV 6-INCH” boots by 15% and transforms it into a classic style, is also being introduced. This model is available in five different forms, each featuring a rubber lug outsole. The ankle boots come in wheat-colored or black grain leather, with an embossed monogram on the lining of the tongue and leather tags.
Additionally, ranger boots with elongated shafts, lace hooks, and strap details are available in wheat-colored grain leather or black-grain calf leather. The pull-on mid boots use wheat-colored or black nubuck leather, and the harness boots, characterized by side buckles and harnesses, are also available in the same materials.
LV 6-INCH EXCEPTIONAL EDITION / Louis Vuitton × Timberland
One of the standout pieces in the Louis Vuitton and Timberland capsule collection is the limited edition “LV 6-INCH Exceptional Edition,” of which only 50 pairs will be released. This special edition was created in collaboration with experts in shoes, jewelry, and trunks. It features a classic monogram-printed rubber lug outsole and supple, high-quality waterproof Italian leather. The boots are adorned with 18K gold LV tongue initials, “Louis Vuitton” engraved eyelets, lace tips, and hardware on the tags.
The LV tongue initials on these boots are inscribed with “THE SUN IS SHINING ON US,” reflecting the sentiment of Pharrell Williams, the Men’s Creative Director, during Louis Vuitton’s debut show in June 2023. This masterpiece of shoemaking is housed in a custom-made showcase of monogram leather with vachetta leather trim and plexiglass, which was also presented on the runway of the 2024 Fall/Winter Men’s Collection.
Exploring the origins of workwear in the American West through the savoir-faire inherited by the Maison, this “Men’s Workwear Capsule Collection” is a perfect blend of elegance, practicality, and the dandyism of comfort.
