On August 19, Balenciaga, under the leadership of Demna, opened a new store at the Iguatemi Shopping Center in São Paulo, Brazil.

The new store spans 3,230 square feet and offers a wide range of products, including men’s and women’s ready-to-wear, shoes, bags, accessories, eyewear, and jewelry.

The store’s design features Balenciaga’s “Experiential Raw Architecture” concept, characterized by a unique style reminiscent of construction sites and abandoned spaces. Constructed using existing materials, the store reflects Balenciaga’s commitment to sustainability by minimizing the use of raw materials.

Inside, the store features brushed concrete floors that evoke the look of sidewalk tiles, while walls and shelving units made from untreated concrete slabs create a seamless indoor-outdoor space. The ceiling exposes grids, industrial lighting systems, and other technical fixtures. Locally made vegan alternatives to leather are used for aluminum tables and benches, while anodized metal shelves and light boxes harmonize with the overall design.

This Iguatemi store marks Balenciaga’s third location in Brazil, with the other two stores located in another Iguatemi center in São Paulo and the Village Mall in Rio de Janeiro.

Balenciaga continues to expand its retail presence with a focus on its distinctive design philosophy and strong commitment to sustainability. The opening of this new store represents a significant step in the brand’s global growth. By strengthening its presence in the Brazilian market, Balenciaga aims to deepen its connection with local customers and further enhance the brand’s value.
