On October 30, Hermès opened a new boutique in Atlanta, Georgia. Located in Phipps Plaza, a luxury shopping mall, the new boutique welcomes visitors into the world of Hermès’ exquisite craftsmanship, embodying the art and culture that pulse through the city of Atlanta.

The façade of the new boutique features terracotta bricks with a gradient from dark brown to almond, inspired by the red canyons of Georgia. Large windows draped with sheer patterned fabric allow a soft light to filter into the space. Upon entering, visitors are greeted by a Faubourg mosaic floor in a beautiful gradient of beige, blue, and green, with Grecques lighting that guides them into the colorful world of silk and fashion jewelry.

To the left of the entrance, there is a display space for homeware, leather goods, and equestrian collections. On the right, a warm red terrazzo passageway leads to the perfume and beauty corner. The shoe display area, placed atop a circular rug that fades from green to natural clay, is surrounded by an abundant selection of women’s and men’s ready-to-wear, as well as a jewelry and watch salon.

The boutique’s interior design was created by the Paris-based architectural firm RDAI, blending Atlanta’s street art with elements of the natural landscape. Expansive openings and a central pathway create a natural flow through each space, while subtle curves in the displays and soft lighting add warmth to the vibrant color schemes. Each room features a unique palette, with soft beige, deep taupe, salmon pink, earthy red, and clay tones, enhanced by textured walls that add a tactile accent to the space.

Further elevating the ambiance of this new Hermès boutique are carefully selected art pieces from the Émile Hermès Collection and the Hermès Collection of Contemporary Photographs. Abstract paintings by French artist Lena Hilton enliven each room, richly reflecting the rhythm and colors of Atlanta. Additionally, Gianpaolo Pagni’s Hippomobile, an Italian artist’s work, and Chevaloscope by Greek artist Elias Kafouros add a unique artistic flair, enriching the boutique with distinctive elements.

This new boutique opening coincides with Hermès’ strong third-quarter earnings report for 2024. For this quarter, Hermès recorded total sales of €3.7 billion (approximately $3.99 billion), marking an 11.3% increase compared to the same period last year. Amidst the challenging economic environment faced by other luxury brands, Hermès has continued to uphold its values of craftsmanship and humanism, principles that have set it apart since 1837, underscoring its unique and enduring presence.
