On November 2, Velvet by Graham & Spencer celebrated the grand opening of its new boutique in the vibrant Nolita neighborhood of New York City.
The new address at 282 Lafayette Street marks the brand’s move from its previous location at Prince and Elizabeth. This lively area is home to popular local spots, including the La Cabra bakery and Italian restaurant Sant Ambroeus, which contribute to the district’s dynamic atmosphere.
The new boutique beautifully blends California’s natural, effortless style with the urban sophistication of Nolita. “Nolita embodies the kind of dynamic, trendsetting environment that aligns perfectly with our brand ethos of laid-back, sophisticated style. We look forward to welcoming both longtime fans and new customers to experience Velvet in this fresh and inspiring space,” said CEO Henry Hirschowitz, expressing excitement for this new chapter on the East Coast.
Inside, the boutique showcases a warm, minimalist design with natural materials that capture Velvet’s California-inspired aesthetic. Alongside a diverse collection of womenswear and menswear, visitors can also explore the exclusive Velvet by Jenny Graham line.
Founded in 1997 as a premium T-shirt brand, Velvet by Graham & Spencer has evolved into a widely acclaimed lifestyle brand known for its high-quality materials and sustainable approach. The brand now boasts nine stores across the U.S., with locations in Los Angeles, Dallas, and Texas, among others.
