San Francisco-based footwear brand Allbirds has announced new distribution agreements to expand its presence in the European and Latin American markets. Starting from July 1, 2025, the company will welcome CHRIS sports of Switzerland as its exclusive distributor in Europe and Wystam of Uruguay as its exclusive distributor in Latin America.
CHRIS sports will handle Allbirds’ distribution across Austria, France, Germany, Italy, Liechtenstein, and Switzerland. With over 30 years of experience in the sports and outdoor products sector, CHRIS sports is a leading player in the European market. Meanwhile, Wystam, a well-established distributor of high-quality fashion and lifestyle brands in Latin America, will oversee Allbirds’ expansion in Argentina, Bolivia, Ecuador, Paraguay, Peru, and Uruguay.
Annie Mitchell, Allbirds’ Chief Financial Officer (CFO), stated, “After a year of successful transitions to a distributor model in five of our key geographies, plus the addition of four new regions, we are pleased to be adding the expertise of CHRIS sports and Wystam to our portfolio of global distributors. Together, we believe we can drive significant growth and brand value across these two important regions for our business.” Florian Lenz, Business Unit Manager at CHRIS Sports, added, “Through this collaboration, we can offer not only high-quality products but also fulfill our responsibility as a company. With Allbirds by our side, we aim to make a positive impact on the environment and inspire our customers to make sustainable choices.”
With these agreements, Allbirds has now expanded its global network of distributors to 11 companies. The brand anticipates further growth in the European and Latin American markets from 2025 onwards.
Allbirds has built a reputation as a model for sustainable fashion by offering products made from environmentally friendly materials. Its iconic “Wool Runner,” launched in 2016, has captivated fans worldwide with its sleek design and unparalleled comfort. The brand’s innovative use of sugarcane-derived SweetFoam™ midsoles, along with natural materials such as Merino Wool and Eucalyptus Fibers, has elevated its products beyond footwear to become ecological icons.
These new agreements mark a significant step in strengthening Allbirds’ international presence, laying a robust foundation for growth in Europe and Latin America.
