Inspired by the beauty of nature, the collection explores themes of plants, water, and the cosmos, with an emphasis on lightness and luminosity. Featuring a harmonious blend of 18K gold and lab-grown diamonds, the pieces embody Jil Sander’s signature craftsmanship and design philosophy. The collection is crafted using the traditional lost-wax casting technique, enhanced by cutting-edge 3D printing technology. This innovative approach results in jewelry pieces that are truly one of a kind.
Each piece is finished by hand, incorporating intentional “imperfections” that define the collection’s unique aesthetic. The luminous surfaces and subtle irregularities reflect Jil Sander’s dedication to individuality. Beneath their understated beauty lies a complex crafting process, offering a quiet yet profound impact.
The collection is divided into three distinctive series: “Branch,” “Astral,” and “Drop,” each showcasing its unique design elements.
The “Branch” series features fractal-inspired designs in rhodium-plated white gold. Pieces like the choker are meticulously crafted by invisibly welding five parts, achieving a lightweight, hollow structure that ensures comfort. The inclusion of a T-bar clasp seamlessly balances functionality and design.
The “Astral” series highlights diamond-coated triple-welded chains paired with lobster clasps, creating smooth lines and radiant brilliance. The yellow gold pendants evoke celestial imagery, resembling the sun or satellites, crafted using advanced 300-ton press technology.
The “Drop” series, made from smooth yellow gold, presents lightweight elliptical mini-sculptures. These exceptional designs push the boundaries of micro-casting and goldsmithing techniques. The intricate hand-finishing and high-polish surfaces perfectly combine functionality with elegance.
With the launch of its fine jewelry collection, Jil Sander offers its sophisticated clientele new styling possibilities while enriching the brand’s lifestyle proposition. The collection debuted exclusively at Jil Sander’s flagship store in Ginza, Tokyo, the largest of its kind globally. It will gradually expand to select stores worldwide starting in 2024.
