Italian luxury brand Dolce & Gabbana has chosen Rome as the venue for the presentation of its 2025 Haute Couture Collection in July 2025.

Following shows held in various parts of Italy, such as Sicily, Puglia, and Sardinia, this time the event will take place in one of Rome’s majestic locations, where the Alta Moda, Alta Sartoria, and the latest fine jewelry collections will be showcased. While the exact venue has yet to be revealed, it is certain that some of Rome’s most iconic sites will serve as the backdrop, adding further allure to the collection.

The 2025 haute couture show in Rome will be a collaboration between Dolce & Gabbana and the city of Rome. Dubbed “The Grand Tour of Italy,” this event will celebrate Italy’s history, landscapes, and haute couture traditions, offering an extremely exclusive opportunity, particularly for the brand’s VIP clients. Rome will serve as a global showcase, demonstrating Italy’s excellence in craftsmanship and tailoring, while the brand’s seasonal events will unfold as a special journey through the city’s beautiful streets, drawing international attention.

Since launching its haute couture project in 2012, Dolce & Gabbana has distanced itself from Paris Haute Couture Week and has chosen to present exclusively in Italy. The shows held in various Italian cities have embodied Italy’s traditional tailoring techniques and heritage, and have served as an important platform to highlight local artisans’ work. In 2014, the addition of Alta Sartoria expanded the focus to menswear, further showcasing the brand’s commitment to celebrating Italy’s craftsmanship and traditions.

Dolce & Gabbana founders and designers Domenico Dolce and Stefano Gabbana stated, “With each collection, we wish to convey a deep connection with local culture and traditions. Being able to present our creations in Rome, with its uniqueness, the grandeur of its monuments and the many hidden corners that tell a story rooted in our own identity, is for us a great dream coming true.”

Rome’s Mayor Roberto Gualtieri commented on the event coinciding with the Catholic Church’s Jubilee celebrations, saying, “Next July, the unique collections that will be presented, expressions of the highest level of Italian craftsmanship, will shine in an even more beautiful and modern Rome, enriched by the renovation work for the Jubilee and the restoration of Caput Mundi.'”

Rome’s Deputy Mayor Alessandro Onorato also stated, “It will be a global event that we absolutely wanted to organise in Rome. This is the first time Dolce & Gabbana will be showing in the capital [of Italy], confirming once again how attractive Rome has become. We have made available the best locations, unique places that no other city can offer. It will be a great promotional showcase that will generate huge economic benefits.”

Rome is becoming a new center of attention in the fashion world, and in May 2025, Dior will also present its 2026 cruise collection in this historic city.
