On December 18, Highsnobiety, a culture platform based in Berlin, announced a new leadership structure. Journalist and editor Noah Johnson, based in New York, has been appointed as Editor-in-Chief, while Caitlin LeRoux has been named Senior Vice President and General Manager for North American operations, and Tom Lee has been selected as Vice President and Head of Creative. This new leadership strategy marks a key initiative as the brand celebrates its 20th anniversary and continues to accelerate its global expansion.
Noah Johnson Appointed Editor-in-Chief
Johnson has received high praise for his contributions to the menswear field, including his tenure as Global Style Director at GQ. He has also written for prestigious publications such as The New York Times and New York Magazine. As Editor-in-Chief, Johnson will oversee Highsnobiety’s print and digital editorial operations, contributing to the brand’s further growth and evolution.
David Fischer, founder, and CEO of Highsnobiety, commented on Johnson’s appointment: “He has an innate skill of honing in on the stories that one didn’t quite know needed to be told, and to tell them with depth and authenticity. We couldn’t be more excited for him to bring his singular point of view and leadership to the Highsnobiety team and community.”
Caitlin LeRoux to Lead North American Operations
Caitlin LeRoux, who brings a decade of experience in Highsnobiety’s London and Berlin offices, has been appointed as Senior Vice President and General Manager for North America. LeRoux successfully led the growth of the London office, tripling its size and establishing a strong foothold in the UK market. In her new role, she will be based in New York, overseeing commercial operations in the U.S. and strengthening collaborations across teams.
Juergen Hopfgartner, President and COO of Highsnobiety commented, “Caitlin joined us ten years ago as Brand Partnerships Executive and has climbed every step of the ladder since. Along the way, she played a pivotal role in shaping our company’s transformation — from a 20-person digital publisher to a multifaceted 300-person organization encompassing publishing, cultural agency work, as well as e-commerce.” He continued, “Caitlin has greatly contributed to Highsnobiety’s culture in many ways, including but not limited to her leadership in HIGHPower, our Women and Non-Binary ERG. Her experience in rolling out the Highsnobiety playbook and nurturing collaboration across teams and offices will be invaluable as we only continue to push forward from here.”
Tom Lee Returns to Head the Creative Division
Tom Lee, who previously served as Highsnobiety’s Creative Director, returns to the company as Vice President and Head of Creative. Lee has extensive experience in the fashion and entertainment industries, bringing bold and innovative ideas to life. His return is expected to further elevate Highsnobiety’s creative vision and strengthen its cultural influence.
Since its founding in 2005, Highsnobiety has been at the forefront of cultural exploration, with a strong presence in global hubs such as New York, Los Angeles, London, Paris, and Tokyo. The platform offers diverse services, including digital editorial content, e-commerce, and brand consultancy, connecting style, design, and technology.
Noah Johnson, Caitlin LeRoux, and Tom Lee will officially begin their new roles on January 6, 2025, from the New York office.
