Givenchy Names Benjamin Cercio as New Global Communications Director

On January 9, French luxury brand Givenchy announced the appointment of Benjamin Cercio as its new Global Communications Director. The appointment is effective immediately, and Cercio’s expertise is expected to further strengthen Givenchy’s global strategy.

Cercio will oversee key areas of the brand, including public relations, events, digital, visual merchandising, and heritage, on a global scale through his own communication and brand strategy consulting agency, Bencercio. He will also work closely with the brand’s CEO, Alessandro Valenti, and new Creative Director, Sarah Burton, to unify the overall direction of the brand.

Benjamin Cercio is a veteran of the LVMH group, with a 19-year career at Louis Vuitton, where he served as Global Head of Relations for the press, influencers, and the entertainment industry. Renowned for his exceptional skills in building relationships with celebrities and the entertainment sector, he has successfully brought on board high-profile brand ambassadors, including Emma Stone and Naomi Osaka. In 2022, he joined Gucci, part of the Kering group, as Global Communications Director, further showcasing his industry expertise.

In September 2024, Givenchy welcomed Sarah Burton as its new Creative Director, and her debut collection is scheduled to be unveiled at Paris Fashion Week in March 2025. Burton, known for her remarkable tailoring skills and dramatic designs, built her career at Alexander McQueen and has received widespread acclaim for her work. The combination of Burton’s creative vision and Cercio’s extensive experience and leadership is set to usher Givenchy into a new chapter of its storied history.
