Vietnam’s largest textile technology trade fair, VIATT 2025: Vietnam International Trade Fair for Apparel, Textiles and Textile Technologies, is set to take place from February 26 to 28, 2025, at the Saigon Exhibition & Convention Center (SECC). Organized by Messe Frankfurt (HK) and the Vietnam Trade Promotion Agency (VIETRADE), this trade fair will bring together leaders from the textile industry across ASEAN, Europe, and beyond. It will showcase the latest solutions with a focus on sustainability and technological innovation.

At VIATT 2025, the expansive exhibition space of 15,000 square meters will feature a comprehensive range of products and technologies, including apparel fabrics and accessories, yarns and fibers, garments, home and contract textiles, technical textiles, nonwovens, certifiers, and solution providers. Additionally, newly introduced zones such as the “Econogy Hub” and “Innovation & Digital Solutions Zone” will highlight initiatives in sustainability and digital transformation, providing a glimpse into the future of the textile industry.

Prominent Japanese Exhibitors

Japan, Vietnam’s second-largest apparel export destination, will be represented by numerous prominent companies at the event. Among the noteworthy exhibitors are:

  • Murata Machinery (Technical Textiles & Technologies): A leading textile machinery manufacturer globally, known for its VORTEX spinning technology, which produces uniquely structured yarns with high productivity and energy efficiency.
  • Tamurakoma & Co. (Apparel Fabrics & Fashion): Founded in 1894, the company will showcase functional fabrics such as POLICOTT and Comfeel, developed with innovative Japanese technology.
  • Toyoshima & Co. (Apparel Fabrics & Fashion): With a history spanning nearly 200 years, Toyoshima offers a vertically integrated approach, from raw materials to finished products, meeting evolving market demands.

Other key Japanese exhibitors include Stylem Takisada-Osaka, Takisada Nagoya, and Toyobo Textile Co., each showcasing high-quality products that demonstrate Japan’s technological and manufacturing expertise.

This year, European exhibitors are also set to make a significant impact:

  • Bossa Ticaret Ve Sanayi Isletmeleri TAS (Turkey; Apparel Fabrics & Fashion): Established in 1951, one of Turkey’s largest integrated textile corporations, known for its premium denim fabrics and advanced dyeing and finishing capabilities.
  • Chargeurs PCC Asia Limited (France; Apparel Fabrics & Fashion): A global leader in interlining production, manufacturing over 350 million meters annually across luxury and athleisure markets.
  • Hohmann GmbH & Co. Kg (Germany; Home & Contract Textiles): Founded in 1907, this company operates 330 weaving machines and boasts a daily production capacity of 45,000 meters, supported by extensive warehouse facilities.
  • Technical Absorbents Ltd (UK; Technical Textiles & Technologies): Renowned for its Super Absorbent Fibre (SAF™) technology, which has been at the forefront of absorbent and nonwoven innovation for over 30 years.

Other notable European exhibitors include Albini 1876 – Thomas Mason (Italy), Alumo AG (Switzerland), and Homeplus (Germany), presenting a variety of high-quality and innovative textile products.

The Rapidly Growing Vietnamese Textile Industry

Vietnam’s textile industry continues to grow steadily despite global challenges. The country’s textile and garment export turnover is projected to increase by over 11% in 2024, reaching an impressive $44 billion. This growth underscores Vietnam’s firm establishment as a vital hub for the textile industry in both the ASEAN region and global markets.

Against this backdrop of strong momentum, VIATT 2025 will bring together exhibitors from diverse textile sectors across Europe and Asia, solidifying its status as a premier sourcing event in the ASEAN region. The event has already confirmed the participation of buyer delegations from Malaysia, Myanmar, and Thailand, further highlighting its importance and potential for fostering industry development.
