On February 11, global brand management company Bluestar Alliance LLC announced the acquisition of luxury streetwear brand Palm Angels.
This move follows Bluestar Alliance’s acquisition of Off-White from LVMH, signaling the company’s continued strategy to accelerate the fusion of luxury and streetwear. With this acquisition, Bluestar Alliance further strengthens its influence in the high-end streetwear market.
Palm Angels began as a photographic project documenting Los Angeles skate culture by Francesco Ragazzi 2011 and evolved into a clothing brand in 2015. Known for its unique blend of American street culture and Italian craftsmanship, the brand has gained worldwide popularity. With strong support from musicians and celebrities, Palm Angels has established itself as a key player in the luxury streetwear segment.
Regarding the brand’s transition into a new phase, Francesco Ragazzi commented: “Palm Angels has been shaping the intersection of luxury and street culture. As it enters a new chapter, I step away with confidence and wish them the greatest success ahead,”
Bluestar Alliance’s Strategy and Future Plans
Founded in 2006 by Joseph Gabbay and Ralph Gindi, Bluestar Alliance is a brand management firm that owns and oversees a diverse portfolio of fashion, lifestyle, and consumer brands. The company manages a wide range of brands, from contemporary to luxury, with an annual retail revenue exceeding $9 billion. It currently manages over 400 licensees and operates more than 500 branded retail stores across North America, Europe, Australia, South America, Asia, the UAE, the Middle East, and India.
Regarding the acquisition, Joey Gabbay, CEO of Bluestar Alliance, stated: “The brand’s unique ability to bridge the worlds of streetwear and luxury has set it apart in the fashion industry. We are committed to supporting Palm Angels as it continues to evolve, innovate, and expand its global presence. This acquisition aligns perfectly with Bluestar’s strategy of growing iconic brands with strong cultural relevance and consumer appeal.”
Additionally, Ralph Gindi, COO of Bluestar Alliance, highlighted the brand’s cultural significance: “Palm Angels is a brand that speaks directly to the cultural trailblazers—the underground tastemakers and fashion leaders who shape the future of style. In every community, there are those that set the trends, the visionaries who guide fashion’s evolution, and those individuals are wearing Palm Angels. As we enter this exciting new chapter, we’re proud to bring together creative forces from around the globe to continue shape the future of fashion.”
In recent years, the luxury industry has been actively incorporating streetwear brands to attract a broader customer base. Palm Angels, with its distinct brand identity, is also expected to achieve further growth under the support of Bluestar Alliance.
