Atelier Siméon: a jewelry brand where delicate, refined designs carry deep stories. More than just accessories, Atelier Siméon’s jewelry serves as a symbolic reflection of the wearer’s dreams and intentions, making it a cherished presence for many.

In this article, we speak with Marion Gaude, the founder and designer of Atelier Siméon, to uncover the story behind the brand’s creation, the meaning infused into each piece, and its vision for the future.

A Passion for Craftsmanship, Inherited from Her Grandfather

Marion Gaude founded Atelier Siméon in 2020. When the pandemic forced her to shut down her first business, she found solace in an old childhood passion—beading. Revisiting this craft became her anchor during uncertain times.

“I founded Atelier Siméon in 2020 as a side hobby, a way to reconnect with a childhood passion. Beading was my favorite activity when I was little, and during the pandemic—when my first business was forced to shut down—I needed something to ground me, something that brought me joy. So I started making jewelry again. What began as a personal refuge slowly grew into something much bigger,” said Gaude.

Two years later, in 2022, Gaude made the decision to turn her jewelry-making into a full-fledged brand. The brand name “Siméon” carries the name of her beloved grandfather, whom she admired since childhood. Though her grandfather was a metalsmith working in a different field, his deep love for his craft and his unwavering integrity left a lasting impact on her creative journey.

“He was a metalsmith from Greece—his craft was far from jewelry, but his deep love for his work, his patience, and his integrity left a lasting imprint on me. As a child, I loved spending time in his atelier, playing with tools, absorbing the silent dedication he put into everything he created.”

The Energy of Stones and Jewelry as a Form of Expression

At the heart of Atelier Siméon’s jewelry lies one essential element—stones. Marion Gaude personally selects each gemstone, traveling to Jaipur, India, to source them firsthand.

“This city has played a huge role in shaping my creativity. The beauty of natural stones, the vibrancy of their colors, their imperfect shapes, and the deep-rooted traditions of craftsmanship have always inspired me. Each stone I find is like a treasure, carrying its own energy and message. I don’t just design jewelry—I create symbols that celebrate both the uniqueness of the stone and the individuality of the person who wears it.”

Every stone holds a story. And when that stone finds its way to its owner, it becomes part of their journey, marking the beginning of something new.

The Ritual of Intention: Imbuing Jewelry with Meaning

Atelier Siméon is a meaningful presence in the wearer’s life. To deepen this connection, Marion Gaude has introduced a unique process known as the “Intention Ritual.” This practice invites individuals to take a moment to set their personal intentions before wearing their jewelry.

“This ritual was something I originally created for myself. When I put on my jewelry, it was never just about appearance—I felt a deep energetic connection with the stones. I wanted to honor them, to be conscious of their presence. At first, it was a personal habit, and I was hesitant to label Atelier Siméon as a ‘spiritual jewelry brand.’ But over time, I realized that my clients were also deeply resonating with the stones, and sharing this ritual felt like a natural step.”

The process is remarkably simple yet profound: before wearing your piece for the first time (or whenever you put it back on), you take a brief moment to set an intention.

“It’s an invitation to tune into a dream, a desire, a transformation you wish to manifest. The idea is to plant a seed—something the stone will remind you of every time you wear it, a quiet but powerful connection between you and your inner world,” Gaude explained.

The ritual has since been embraced by many of Atelier Siméon’s customers, who have shared their experiences of transformation—achieving long-held dreams, shifting perspectives, and even gaining confidence in themselves.

Gaude also includes a meaningful message on the brand’s ritual card, a phrase she holds close to her heart, “The day you plant the seed is not the day you eat the fruit.”

“This quote reminds me to be patient with myself and with the process. And when I share this message, people always smile.”

The Transformative Power of Simplicity in Design

Atelier Siméon’s jewelry is characterized by its delicate and refined aesthetic. As a French designer, Marion Gaude naturally gravitates toward minimalist yet elegant pieces that seamlessly blend into daily life. Each piece carries an effortless lightness, making it perfect for layering while remaining deeply personal. However, beneath its simplicity lies a deeper significance—the jewelry is meant to serve as a “secret symbol” that connects the wearer to their personal intentions.

“As a French designer, I have always loved delicate and dainty jewelry. It’s effortless to layer and fits naturally into everyday life. But more than just aesthetics, these pieces hold meaning. They become a ‘secret symbol’ for the wearer, tied to the intention they set. The stone carries significance, but only the person wearing it knows its true meaning. That silent connection is what creates real transformation.”

For Gaude, wearing jewelry is not just about fashion—it is an act of self-awareness. She sees each piece as a catalyst for personal transformation, driven by the wearer’s connection to their chosen stone.

“Transformation starts with awareness. It happens the moment someone finds their stone. That’s why I keep my designs minimal—so the beauty of the stone can stand out.”

By embracing simplicity, Atelier Siméon’s jewelry becomes more than an accessory—it becomes a vessel for self-discovery and intention.

Commitment to Materials and Craftsmanship

Atelier Siméon’s jewelry is not only defined by its design but also by a deep commitment to material selection and artisanal craftsmanship. Marion Gaude incorporates special processes to maximize the natural energy of gemstones, ensuring that each piece resonates with its wearer on a profound level.

One such practice is purifying each stone with Palo Santo (sacred wood smoke) before sending it to its new owner.

“This process clears any stagnant energy the stone may have absorbed during handling, restoring it to its purest state. I also encourage customers to regularly cleanse their stones to reset their energy,” explains Gaude.

Even though the energy of stones may not be visible, it plays a significant role in our daily lives—just as quartz is used in watches or crystals in smartphones. Believing in the vibrational power of these natural materials, Gaude takes great care to preserve the energetic purity of every jewel.

Additionally, Atelier Siméon works closely with skilled artisans in India, ensuring that traditional techniques are honored while achieving a refined and modern aesthetic. Every piece is meticulously crafted to maintain a delicate balance between heritage craftsmanship and the natural beauty of the stones. Through this fusion of tradition and contemporary elegance, Atelier Siméon creates jewelry that carries both artistic integrity and a sense of deep personal connection.

The Future of Atelier Siméon: A New Journey Woven by Natural Stones

Atelier Siméon carries a permanent collection that embodies the essence of the brand. However, Marion Gaude’s creative process is never confined by structure—it thrives on constant discovery and fresh inspiration. Each season, she designs new pieces based on the unique stones she encounters, allowing intuition to guide her craftsmanship rather than adhering to the rigid schedules of the fashion industry.

In April 2025, Atelier Siméon will unveil a selection of approximately 15 new jewelry pieces. Instead of releasing a full collection, the focus will be on carefully curated designs that elevate the harmony between material and form, ensuring that each piece fully embodies the energy of the gemstones. For Gaude, expanding the collection is not about quantity—it’s about refining the connection between the stones and the wearers who embrace them.

Looking ahead, Atelier Siméon is preparing for global expansion. The brand is setting its sights on Japan, South Korea, the United States, the United Kingdom, the UAE, and Eastern Europe, bringing its unique philosophy to a wider audience.

The first step toward this vision is participating in Tranoï Tokyo, a renowned trade show held on March 18–19, 2024. Additionally, Atelier Siméon has been selected for The Each Shop, a new curated jewelry boutique opening in Omotesando, Tokyo, in April 2025.

Like natural stones that take years to form, the evolution of Atelier Siméon is deliberate, thoughtful, and unwavering.

“The seeds have already been planted. What kind of flowers will bloom? Time will tell,” says Gaude.

True to her words, Atelier Siméon’s jewelry will continue to grow in radiance alongside those who wear it, crafting new stories with every passing moment.
