Dutch fashion design duo Viktor Horsting and Rolf Snoeren, known for their avant-garde brand Viktor & Rolf, will stage their first major exhibition in the United States. Titled “Viktor & Rolf. Fashion Statements,” the exhibition will open on October 10, 2025, at the High Museum of Art in Atlanta, Georgia.

Following its critically acclaimed debut in 2023 at Kunsthalle Munich, this traveling exhibition marks the brand’s first solo showcase in the U.S. It will feature approximately 100 carefully selected pieces spanning over 30 years of creative work. The exhibition is structured around nine thematic chapters, offering a multidimensional exploration of the duo’s artistic approach that transcends conventional fashion boundaries.

The curation is led by renowned curator Thierry-Maxime Loriot, who has also organized major exhibitions for Jean Paul Gaultier, Thierry Mugler, and Peter Lindbergh. Chapters such as “Fashion Artists,” “Russian Dolls,” “The Dolls,” “Zen Garden,” “Performing Fashion,” “Viktor & Rolf on Stage,” and “Upcycling Couture” promise to stimulate the viewer’s imagination. A ninth chapter, featuring a newly commissioned and as-yet-unrevealed work, will add another layer of intrigue.

Among the highlights will be the duo’s iconic “Work-in-Progress Dolls”—delicately crafted figures inspired by antique porcelain dolls, dressed in miniature versions of their couture designs. Enhancing the immersive experience, projection installations by Rodeo FX—known for its work on Stranger Things, Game of Thrones, and Blade Runner 2049—will transform the galleries into dreamlike spaces that blur the line between fantasy and reality.

Horsting commented, “We hope to inspire people, make them think, and broaden their perspective on fashion.” Loriot added, “Viktor & Rolf’s work isn’t about trends—it’s about pure creative expression. That’s why it deserves to be shown in a museum.”

The exhibition will also feature never-before-seen looks from past and new collections, alongside works by acclaimed contemporary artists such as Cindy Sherman and Andreas Gursky.

Bridging fashion and art, fiction and reality, “Viktor & Rolf. Fashion Statements” offers a rare opportunity to immerse oneself in the duo’s distinctive vision and design philosophy.
