On March 28, LVMH Moët Hennessy – Louis Vuitton officially announced that Jean-Christophe Babin will be appointed CEO of LVMH Watches, effective April 1, 2025.
Babin, who currently serves as CEO of Bvlgari, will retain his current role while taking on the new position. In his expanded role, he will report directly to Stéphane Bianchi, Managing Director of the LVMH Group, and oversee the strategic direction of the Group’s leading watch Maisons: TAG Heuer, Hublot, and Zenith.
This appointment follows the transition of Frédéric Arnault to CEO of Loro Piana. Babin previously served as CEO of TAG Heuer for 12 years starting in 2000, and since 2013, has successfully led Bvlgari. In both roles, he has driven remarkable global growth and elevated brand value.
Moving forward, the CEOs of TAG Heuer (Antoine Pin), Hublot (Julien Tornare), and Zenith (Benoit de Clerck) will report to Babin, executing their respective brand strategies under his leadership.
Jean-Christophe Babin began his career in 1983 at Procter & Gamble France. He later gained experience in marketing and sales at Benckiser and Henkel in Italy. He joined LVMH in 2000, playing a pivotal role in expanding TAG Heuer’s global presence as CEO. Since 2013, he has served as CEO of Bvlgari, where he has honored the Roman maison’s heritage while driving bold modernization and strategic transformation. A graduate of HEC Paris (École des Hautes Études Commerciales de Paris), Babin brings deep expertise in marketing and management to his leadership roles.
In response to the announcement, Stéphane Bianchi shared the following statement: “Under the leadership of Frédéric Arnault, the Watches Division has undertaken a significant transformation, including the implementation of operational synergies between the Group’s watchmaking Maisons, and substantial work on the positioning and challenges of each of them. I thank Frédéric and am pleased to see this dynamic continue with the appointment of Jean-Christophe, who will leverage his entrepreneurial spirit, energy, and exceptional leadership qualities to serve the sustainable and ambitious growth of the Division.”
With Babin’s proven track record and forward-looking leadership, LVMH Watches aims to further accelerate the growth of its luxury watch business and continue enhancing the value of its brands on a global scale.
