Bernard Arnault, Chairman and CEO of LVMH Moët Hennessy Louis Vuitton (LVMH), officially announced at the company’s annual shareholders’ meeting in Paris on April 11 (local time) that Jonathan Anderson has been appointed as the new artistic director of Dior Men. Anderson will succeed Kim Jones, who stepped down from the role in January this year, and will present his first show for the house during the Spring/Summer 2026 collection on June 27 in Paris.
Anderson stepped down as creative director of Loewe in March 2024 after an 11-year tenure. During his time at the Spanish heritage leather house, he transformed the brand into a globally renowned luxury label that blends modern culture with craftsmanship. He gained widespread acclaim for fusing fashion with art in innovative ways. It is also reported that under Anderson’s leadership, Loewe’s annual revenue expanded more than sevenfold, reaching an estimated scale of around 2 billion euros.
On April 11, Anderson hinted at the news on Instagram, posting a photo of a Dior label accompanied by a four-leaf clover emoji. Dior later confirmed the appointment, stating that “Anderson is currently working on the Dior Men Spring/Summer 2026 collection, which is scheduled to be unveiled at 2:30 p.m. on June 27.”

Originally from Magherafelt, County Londonderry in Northern Ireland, Anderson studied at the London College of Fashion and began his career in the marketing department at Prada. In 2008, he launched his own label, JW Anderson, before being appointed creative director at Loewe in 2013.
Known for his innovative and gender-fluid design language, Anderson garnered further attention in recent years for designing the outfit worn by Rihanna during her Super Bowl halftime performance. He also won the Designer of the Year award at the Fashion Awards in both 2023 and 2024, cementing his position as one of the leading creatives of his generation.
LVMH has recently undergone a major creative reshuffle, with several new appointments announced in 2024. These include Sarah Burton at Givenchy, Michael Rider at Celine, and Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez at Loewe.
