On April 3, the triple collaboration “Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by NIGO,” bringing together Moncler, Mercedes-Benz, and designer NIGO, was unveiled at the newly opened Mercedes-Benz flagship dealership in Manhattan, New York. Alongside the collection, the limited-edition model “G-Class Past II Future,” themed around the fusion of past and future, was also revealed. The event brought together members of New York’s creative community, celebrating collaboration and creativity in a festive atmosphere.

At the core of this project is the concept of “CO-CREATION,” a fundamental pillar of Moncler’s platform, MONCLER GENIUS. This collaboration reinterprets vintage designs from the 1980s and ’90s, New York’s hip-hop culture, and the historical archives of both brands through the unique lens of NIGO’s creative vision.

NIGO, a renowned designer, DJ, music producer, and entrepreneur, drew upon his deep research into historical and archival materials to embody the Japanese philosophy of “Onko Chishin”—learning from the past to create new value. The collection reflects a seamless fusion of Moncler’s mountaineering heritage with Mercedes-Benz’s legacy as a symbol of luxury and engineering excellence.

The collection features varsity jackets, check shirts, and washed denim sets—garments imbued with the spirit of vintage Americana and streetwear. Highlights include Moncler’s signature down jackets emblazoned with the iconic Mercedes-Benz three-pointed star, embroidery inspired by the G-Class silhouette, and check patterns reminiscent of luxury automotive interiors.

The campaign visuals, shot by photographer Thibaut Grevet, capture the energy of a rooftop party in New York. Models wearing the collection are depicted inside a G-Class vehicle, framed by the city’s iconic water towers. Additionally, a behind-the-scenes documentary offers a closer look at NIGO’s CO-CREATION process, revealing the thoughtful craftsmanship behind the collection.

The launch event brought together close friends of NIGO and high-profile figures from the creative scene, including Alton Mason, Chloe Wise, Joey Bada$$, and KAWS. The immersive space fully embraced the collaboration’s aesthetic, blending the past and future through a stunning mix of vintage cars and futuristic showroom installations. A standout feature included a bar constructed from the open trunk of a G-Class vehicle and culinary presentations inspired by automobile themes, created by local chefs.

The Moncler x Mercedes-Benz by NIGO collection is now available as of April 4, 2025, at select Moncler boutiques, key multi-brand retailers, and through Moncler’s official online store.
