On April 29, the Brooklyn Museum in New York hosted its annual signature event, the Brooklyn Artists Ball. A celebration honoring the power of art and community, this year’s edition once again welcomed French luxury house Dior as an official partner, transforming the museum into a dazzling stage for one night only.
The evening was held in honor of Darren Walker, president of the Ford Foundation and an emblematic figure in the pursuit of social justice. Walker played a leading role in supporting nonprofit organizations during the pandemic and continues to advocate for the future of culture and humanitarian causes.
The night began with a cocktail reception in the museum’s first-floor lobby, followed by a dinner and award program in the Beaux-Arts Court. The dinner space featured a stunning blend of art and atmosphere, drawing inspiration from artist Jeffrey Gibson’s exhibitions “When Fire Is Applied to a Stone It Cracks” and “the space in which to place me.”
An after-party continued late into the night, where guests arrived in looks from the latest collections by Maria Grazia Chiuri, Artistic Director of Dior. The evening was a powerful convergence of art and fashion, marking yet another memorable chapter in the museum’s ongoing celebration of creativity.
Kerry Washington appeared in a black lace dress from the 2025 Cruise Collection, elegantly accessorized with a belt, necklace, and matching shoes. Alexandra Daddario chose a gold-accented haute couture dress from the Spring/Summer 2025 collection, paired with a matching bag and heels for a refined look.

Emma Roberts turned heads in a classic houndstooth wool jacket and skirt set, evoking a 1950s silhouette with modern sophistication. Zazie Beetz wore a white lace top and skirt, styled with a belt, bag, and shoes from the Cruise 2025 collection, offering a soft yet confident presence.

Singer-songwriter Laufey, who also performed at the event, appeared in two distinct Dior haute couture looks. One featured a nude-toned silk gauze top and skirt with black silk organza shorts, styled with Dior shoes that reflected the elegance of her performance.

As the evening progressed, Swizz Beatz took over the DJ booth, setting the tone for a lively after-party. In the unique atmosphere of a museum after hours, the Brooklyn Artists Ball brought together creativity, diversity, and hope—an ideal intersection of contemporary art and luxury fashion.
