Luxury brand Moncler has recently opened a new boutique at South Coast Plaza, the prestigious shopping destination located in Costa Mesa, California. Situated in the heart of this iconic West Coast mall, the boutique serves as a new landmark where the brand’s core values—heritage and innovation—are translated into spatial design.
Spanning approximately 2,830 square feet, the boutique was designed by the internationally acclaimed architectural duo Gilles & Boissier. Divided into four distinct rooms, the interior reflects the refined concept first introduced at Bal Harbour Shops in Miami, offering a space where sophistication and modern sensibility coexist in harmony.
Throughout the store, smoked oak wood adds depth and contrast, while chevron-patterned floors—crafted from Marquina, Alpinus, and Saint Laurent marble—introduce a sense of architectural precision softened by understated elegance. Overhead, brushed whitewood beams infuse the space with warmth and a refined touch of craftsmanship.
A bespoke art installation by French artist Thierry Martenon has also been installed within the boutique, seamlessly integrated into the interior to quietly express the refined craftsmanship that defines the Moncler aesthetic.
The store features dedicated spaces for both women’s and men’s wear, offering a personalized luxury shopping experience guided by Moncler’s knowledgeable brand ambassadors.
This new boutique marks a relocation from a smaller existing store within the same mall, positioning itself as Moncler’s key retail hub on the West Coast, second only to its flagship on Rodeo Drive in Los Angeles. It is expected to play a vital role in the brand’s long-term strategic expansion in the U.S. market.
