Louis Vuitton has announced the appointment of Carole Bildé as its new Senior Vice President of Image & Communication, effective June 10, 2025. In this role, Bildé will be responsible for leading the overall brand image and communication strategy in close collaboration with dedicated teams, with the mission of expanding Louis Vuitton’s global influence. She will report directly to Damien Bertrand, who has also recently been appointed Deputy CEO.
Bildé joined LVMH in 2018 and has since served as Chief Marketing & Communication Officer at the champagne house Veuve Clicquot Ponsardin, part of the LVMH group. At Veuve Clicquot, she led marketing innovation and shaped a distinctive cultural identity, significantly enhancing the brand’s global visibility and clear messaging. Her career also includes leadership roles at Chloé, where she oversaw brand, digital, and e-commerce, as well as extensive experience at leading international advertising agencies Ogilvy & Mather and BETC.
Bildé will succeed Blake Harrop, who is stepping down from the position and is expected to take on a new role within the LVMH Group.
Harrop joined Louis Vuitton in 2024, and during his relatively short tenure, he spearheaded a series of bold and visually impactful projects. Among them was a global advertising campaign for the revival of the Takashi Murakami collaboration, featuring actress Zendaya. The campaign merged luxury with art and pop culture, freshly and compellingly. Additionally, the collection was brought to life through immersive pop-ups in 15 cities, including Seoul, London, Tokyo, Milan, New York, Shanghai, and Singapore. These events featured cafés, cinemas screening remastered films by Murakami, video installations, and other experiential activations that created new and memorable points of contact between the brand and consumers.
Harrop also oversaw a striking installation at Louis Vuitton’s flagship store on 57th Street in New York, where a giant trunk was mounted on the façade, generating significant public attention. Moreover, the brand entered into a major partnership with Formula One (F1), where the Louis Vuitton logo became a prominent presence at global racing events, helping to extend the brand’s reach to new and diverse audiences.
Chairman and CEO Pietro Beccari expressed his gratitude, stating, “I would like to sincerely thank Blake. He actively contributed to launching several strategic partnerships that strengthened Louis Vuitton’s influence. I wish him every success in his new role.”
As part of the structural realignment, Matteo Golinelli and the Visual Merchandising team will now report directly to Deputy CEO Damien Bertrand, instead of Bildé.
