Giorgio Armani to Miss Milan Men’s Fashion Week Appearance Due to Recovery

Giorgio Armani

On June 20, Italian fashion house Armani announced that Giorgio Armani, a legendary figure in the luxury fashion world, is currently recuperating at home. As a result, the designer is expected to be absent from the upcoming runway shows for both Emporio Armani and Giorgio Armani, which will present their Spring/Summer 2026 menswear collections.

Having just turned 90, Armani has long been the driving force behind the brand’s global identity. News of his absence from this season’s Milan Men’s Fashion Week has been met with quiet surprise across the industry.

A brand statement emphasized: “Mr. Armani has worked with his usual dedication on the collections that will be presented. Although he cannot be there in person, he will closely follow every phase of the shows.”

For the Emporio Armani show on Saturday, June 22, and the Giorgio Armani show on Monday, June 24, Leo Dell’Orco, head of menswear design, is expected to take the final bow on Armani’s behalf.
