Jil Sander CEO Serge Brunschwig Steps Down After Just Six Months

Serge Brunschwig

On July 31 (Milan), it was announced that Serge Brunschwig, who was appointed CEO of Jil Sander and Chief Strategy Officer of its parent company OTB Group in February 2025, will step down from both roles after just six months.

Brunschwig succeeded Luca Lo Curzio in leading Jil Sander. On LinkedIn, he shared, “Today is the last day of my mission for JilSander. I would like to thank the team for what we achieved, getting this beautiful brand prepared for its next chapter, and the OTB group for the trust they have placed in me. We all love Jil Sander, its purity and its mix of classicism and modernity. My best wishes to Jil Sander and the OTB group for the future !”

The reason for his departure has been described as “personal,” and both Jil Sander and OTB expressed their gratitude for his contributions during his tenure in an official statement.

Going forward, the CEO role at Jil Sander will be temporarily assumed by Ubaldo Minelli, CEO of OTB, who previously led the brand. The company emphasized its commitment to ensuring strategic and operational continuity and fulfilling its obligations to partners, clients, and stakeholders, indicating a strong focus on maintaining stability during this transition.

Brunschwig’s resignation also comes just ahead of the debut collection by Simone Bellotti, who was appointed as Jil Sander’s new creative director in March 2025 after leaving Bally. Bellotti, who succeeded Luke and Lucie Meier, is set to unveil his first collection for the house in September, marking a new chapter in the brand’s creative direction.
