Italian luxury brand Bvlgari has officially opened its first dedicated educational institution, Scuola Bvlgari, inside its own Manifattura facility in Valenza. The school specializes in jewelry craftsmanship and offers a comprehensive curriculum aimed at training the next generation of artisans. Notably, the program is open to all applicants regardless of prior experience.
Established in collaboration with Tarì Design School, Scuola Bvlgari provides a curriculum aligned with European educational standards, combining theoretical and practical instruction. Students will learn in a modern environment equipped with industry-leading tools and technology, guided by master goldsmiths and certified professionals.
Two courses will be offered: The Goldsmithing Course and The Setting Course, both launching in September 2025. Classes will take place on weekdays from 8:30 AM to 1:30 PM.
The Goldsmithing Course covers a wide range of metalworking techniques, including bending, milling, soldering, laser cutting, fretwork, creating clasps and bezels, sizing rings and bracelets, wax modeling, polishing, and lost-wax casting. The training spans until April 2027, totaling 1,680 hours.
The Setting Course, on the other hand, is a 600-hour program scheduled to conclude in June 2026. It focuses on a variety of gemstone setting techniques—such as pavé, bezel, burnish, channel, prong, and claw settings—while also offering instruction in gemological fundamentals and the characteristics of different stones. The course aims to balance precision and aesthetic sensitivity required on the field.

The new school builds upon the foundation of the Bvlgari Jewelry Academy, an in-house training program launched in 2017 for newly hired artisans. While the academy served internal staff, the new school represents an expanded initiative to provide open access to professional jewelry training for a broader range of talent.
The initiative also underscores Bvlgari’s commitment to diversity and social inclusion. As part of its Refugee Program, the brand has integrated language and cultural support with hands-on training to assist asylum seekers and refugees. In June 2024, the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) awarded Bvlgari the “Welcome. Working for Refugee Integration” label in recognition of this effort.
Currently, over 32 nationalities are represented at the Valenza site, making Scuola Bvlgari a vital hub for preserving and advancing the spirit of Italian craftsmanship for future generations.
Speaking on the new initiative, Bvlgari stated, “La Scuola Bvlgari brings the heritage of Italian goldsmithing artistry together with cutting-edge technology, projecting it into the future.”
