On August 12, Los Angeles-based luxury eyewear brand Jacques Marie Mage (JMM) opened its new gallery, The Omotesandō-Tokyo Gallery, in Tokyo.
The three-story gallery embodies the brand’s global vision interpreted through a distinctly Japanese sensibility, blending historical depth with contemporary relevance to create a serene yet richly narrative space. Located at 5-9-7 Jingumae, Shibuya-ku, the gallery is open daily from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Founded in 2014 by French-born designer Jérôme Mage, Jacques Marie Mage is renowned for its limited-edition collections designed in Los Angeles and handcrafted in Japan and Italy. Fusing traditional craftsmanship with cutting-edge production techniques, the brand’s products are often described as “modern heirlooms,” created with deep consideration, sustainable practices, and a commitment to social responsibility.
JMM’s design philosophy draws inspiration from a wide range of cultural and historical sources, including the mythic narratives of the American West, the grandeur of the Premier Empire Français, the refinement of Art Deco, and the Japanese spirit of Takumi (master craftsmanship). These influences are transformed into limited-edition pieces that serve as emotional bridges between past and present—one of the brand’s defining traits.

Just last month, the brand opened its first gallery in France, The Paix-Paris Gallery, a two-story space envisioned as an homage to craftsmanship and culture, with a particular reverence for the Premier Empire Français. In addition to Paris and Tokyo, Jacques Marie Mage also operates galleries in London, Milan, and in California cities, Costa Mesa, Hollywood, and Venice.
Like its Paris counterpart, the newly opened Omotesandō location is set to attract both domestic and international fans and collectors as a space to fully immerse oneself in the brand’s world. More than just a retail store, it promises to be a new destination to experience Jacques Marie Mage’s ongoing redefinition of luxury.
