British Fashion Council and Pandora Announce New “Style Moment of the Year” Award

The Fashion Awards, organised by the British Fashion Council (BFC), is the fashion industry’s premier year-end celebration and a vital fundraising event for the BFC Foundation. It is a global gathering where fashion intersects with music, film, sport, and performance art, celebrating the power of style to shape the visual language of our time. Designers, creatives, celebrities, and industry leaders from around the world come together for this prestigious occasion.

Ahead of The Fashion Awards 2025, to be held at London’s Royal Albert Hall on December 1, the BFC and its Principal Partner, jewellery brand Pandora, have announced the launch of a new accolade: the Style Moment of the Year presented by Pandora.

The award honours a stylist behind a singular fashion or entertainment moment that has left a lasting cultural and trend-setting impact. Formerly known as the “Pandora Leader of Change,” the award has been refreshed to highlight the growing role and visibility of stylists in contemporary cultural storytelling.

A symbol of cultural storytelling

The introduction of this new award reflects the expanding influence of stylists in crafting cultural narratives and creating viral moments on red carpets, screens, and social media. Throughout the year, the BFC and Pandora work together to support emerging talent and develop cultural programmes that resonate across global media and the creative industries.

Berta de Pablos-Barbier, Chief Marketing Officer at Pandora, said: “Empowering self-expression is at the core of what Pandora stands for. This award shines a light on the creative force of stylists, those who craft identity through the styling of jewellery and fashion. Award criteria

Entries for the Style Moment of the Year presented by Pandora must meet the following criteria:

  • Contributing to the cultural conversation, sparks widespread discussion and reflects a significant societal moment
  • Demonstrating originality and boldness by pushing creative boundaries in design, styling or presentation
  • Achieving influence and virality by capturing global attention and dominating media and social platforms
  • Demonstrating a creative use of jewellery, embellishment or accessories as part of the look
  • Possessing timelessness and timeliness, remembered as a defining fashion statement and cultural moment beyond the year it debuted

Judging panel

The judging panel includes representatives from both the BFC and Pandora, alongside notable industry figures such as Beka Gvishiani (@StyleNotCom), founder of Style Not Com; Elias Medini (@Lyas), content creator and fashion commentator; Hanan Besovic (@ideservecouture), fashion commentator; Kim Russell (@thekimbono), fashion historian, stylist and Instagram creator; and Nicky Campbell, fashion critic and red carpet correspondent. Freelance writer Lakeisha Goedluck moderates the panel.

In 2025, under its continued partnership with Pandora, the focus will once again be on the “moments that define an era” created through fashion.
