On September 4, French luxury maison Dior announced that actress Mikey Madison has been appointed as its new ambassador. Madison becomes the first global ambassador, marking the beginning of a new chapter for the brand under the creative direction of Jonathan Anderson.
Anderson now oversees Dior’s women’s, men’s, and haute couture lines, and is set to unveil his debut women’s collection at Paris Fashion Week on October 1, 2025. Ever since his appointment, speculation has swirled about who would emerge as his new muse, making Madison’s selection a natural choice.
At 26 years old, Madison hails from Los Angeles. From an early age, she pursued her passion for acting, gradually rising in Hollywood with her distinctive sensibility and commanding presence. She starred in Sean Baker’s Anora, which won the Palme d’Or at the 2024 Cannes Film Festival, earning her international acclaim. The following year, in 2025, she won the Academy Award for Best Actress, cementing her status as one of Hollywood’s leading figures. At the ceremony, she captivated audiences in a vintage-inspired Dior couture gown, evoking the elegance of Old Hollywood in a performance that remains unforgettable.
Her career has since continued its meteoric rise, with additional accolades including a BAFTA Award for Best Actress and an Independent Spirit Award, as well as nominations at the Golden Globe Awards, Screen Actors Guild (SAG) Awards, and Critics’ Choice Awards. Most recently, she has been confirmed to star in The Masque of the Red Death, directed by Charlie Polinger, further underscoring her reputation as an actress unafraid of bold and unconventional roles.
