On September 10, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) revealed the nominees and honorees for the 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards presented by Amazon Fashion. Held annually, the awards are recognized as one of the most prestigious events in the American fashion industry, celebrating its highest achievements.
Nominees by Category
For American Womenswear Designer of the Year, the nominees are Wes Gordon for Carolina Herrera, Rachel Scott for Diotima, Daniella Kallmeyer for Kallmeyer, along with Ralph Lauren and Tory Burch.
The American Menswear Designer of the Year category includes Mike Amiri for Amiri, Mike Eckhaus and Zoe Latta for Eckhaus Latta, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row, Thom Browne, and Willy Chavarria.
In the American Accessory Designer of the Year category, the nominees are Ana Khouri, Catherine Holstein for Khaite, Raul Lopez for Luar, Ashley Olsen and Mary-Kate Olsen for The Row, and Tory Burch.
For the Google Shopping American Emerging Designer of the Year, the nominees are Taylor Thompson for 5000, Ashlynn Park for Ashlyn, Julian Louie for Aubero, Bernard James, and Colleen Allen.
Honorees
This year’s announcement also included several honorees. Ralph Rucci will receive the Geoffrey Beene Lifetime Achievement Award, while Cynthia Rowley will be honored with the Founder’s Award in honor of Eleanor Lambert. The Isabel Toledo Board of Directors’ Tribute will go to Andre Walker.
The Media Award in honor of Eugenia Sheppard will be presented to Sara Moonves of W Magazine. Pieter Mulier for Alaïa has been named International Designer of the Year, and the Positive Change Award will go to Donatella Versace, recognizing her philanthropic efforts, advocacy for the LGBTQ+ community, and support of emerging talent.
Additional honorees will be announced at a later date.

The 2025 CFDA Fashion Awards will take place on November 3 at New York’s American Museum of Natural History. Amazon Fashion will serve as the presenting partner, Google Shopping will support the Emerging Designer category, and Krug will join as the official Champagne partner, adding elegance to the evening.
