On September 22, London-based stylist Harry Lambert and ZARA unveiled their third collaboration, this time welcoming Disney into the fold for a special triple partnership: “HARRY LAMBERT FOR ZARA X DISNEY.” The collection, titled “AW GEE! WOW,” reinterprets Disney’s world through vibrant colors and retro silhouettes, blending playfulness with sophistication.
The collection takes inspiration from Mickey & Friends—Mickey Mouse, Minnie Mouse, Daisy Duck, Donald Duck, and Goofy—and spans menswear, womenswear, and, for the first time, a dedicated kidswear line designed for families to enjoy styling together.
Speaking about the collection, Lambert noted:
“Whenever I go to the park to spend time with Mickey and his friends, it always feels like a special moment when you want to dress up. A mother and daughter, a father and son, the whole family dressed in matching looks and creating happy memories—AW GEE! WOW imagines those very special experiences.”
AW GEE! WOW incorporates Disney’s rich color palette while infusing each silhouette with a retro charm. Drawing inspiration from the distinctive styles of his new “cast of characters,” Lambert fuses them seamlessly with his own design codes to create a world that is humorous yet refined. From celebration dresses to everyday sweats, the collection reflects bold buttons, sharp collars, and exaggerated silhouettes, all expressed through lively hues and rich textures.
Baseball caps and raglan T-shirts feature beloved Disney character catchphrases, adding humor and a sense of authenticity. Oversized proportions are seen across men’s, women’s, and kids’ lines, encouraging freedom of expression and individuality.
The womenswear line features fuzzy eco-fur skirt sets, ribbon intarsia-knit cardigan-and-pants ensembles, and smart short suits trimmed with eco-fur. Each piece can be mixed and matched freely, with bold color contrasts outlined in black for an animation-like effect. Polka dots and pastel satins bring vibrancy to party looks, while denim conveys a casual, relaxed mood that pairs effortlessly with oversized T-shirts and cozy knitwear.
For men, baby-pink and racing-red active jackets, along with classic blue-and-brown track suits, channel a sporty energy. Traditional tartan trousers and oversized coats provide a tailored edge, while cropped pieces highlight metallic sneakers. Playful details—like Mickey Mouse–inspired collars and knitwear embroidered with characters—balance relaxed comfort with sartorial sophistication, bridging sportswear and tailoring.
For the first time, Lambert has designed kidswear, scaling down men’s and women’s prints, patterns, and silhouettes into playful children’s wardrobes.
The girls’ line includes character-inspired party dresses, casual sets, and bright knitwear, complemented by fluffy coats, long scarves, and oversized hats. The boys’ line takes cues from vintage sportswear, with baseball jackets and varsity sweaters featuring Disney motifs, styled alongside Breton-striped tops, tartan trousers, and emblem-embroidered knits. Parents and children alike can enjoy the collection through coordinated family looks.
The campaign film takes the form of a classic TV game show, with Lambert himself stepping into the role of host. Mickey & Friends appear as surprise guests, and Lambert’s nephew and parents join as special participants, underscoring the family spirit that runs through the collection. Set against bright stage lights and playful backdrops, the film highlights the collection’s whimsical details and celebratory mood.
The “AW GEE! WOW: HARRY LAMBERT FOR ZARA X DISNEY” collection will launch on September 25 via Zara.com and select stores.
