On November 11, ZARA unveiled its first collaboration with Paris-based designer Ludovic de Saint Sernin, introducing the Ludovic de Saint Sernin × ZARA Collection.
For de Saint Sernin—who has spent more than eight years building his eponymous brand independently—this collaboration represents the realization of a long-held dream. Known for his provocative yet delicate aesthetic, sensual yet intellectual in spirit, the partnership with ZARA allows his vision to reach a wider global audience.
Speaking about the project, de Saint Sernin described it as “the ideal wardrobe I’ve always envisioned—each piece crafted with exceptional quality, something I want to wear myself, and something that looks beautiful on everyone.”
A Cinematic New York Mood
The collection draws inspiration from New York City, a place of deep personal significance for the designer. Its energy, freedom, and diversity shape the collection’s atmosphere, blending the stoic minimalism of the 1980s with the “easy chic” of the late ’90s and early 2000s. Designed for seamless transitions from day to night, the pieces embody both practicality and glamour—equally fitting for the subway or the back seat of a town car.
Sensuality in Every Detail
De Saint Sernin’s signature details are reimagined through ZARA’s craftsmanship. Polished chrome studs replace his iconic metal eyelets, adding radiance to leather trench coats, mini dresses, and stack belts. Lightweight metal mesh fabrics appear in halter tops and mini skirts, catching the light to evoke a modern sensuality.
Materials include lustrous wool, silk satin, stonewashed denim, and supple calfskin, while a jet-black hair-calf leather car coat stands out as the defining piece of the collection.
A Daydream in Motion
The campaign film, directed by Gordon von Steiner, captures the essence of a “waking dream” in downtown Manhattan. Time appears suspended as models move through the city’s surreal landscape, blending de Saint Sernin’s sensual aesthetic with ZARA’s modern sensibility.
Appearing alongside the designer are models Alex Consani and Amelia Gray, both central figures in his creative universe.
De Saint Sernin explains that the theme of the film—a daydream where the line between reality and fantasy blurs—reflects his belief in “the importance of continuing to dream bigger.” He also expressed gratitude to the ZARA team, saying they “believed in our vision and welcomed me like family—this collaboration truly felt like a dream come true.”
The Ludovic de Saint Sernin × ZARA Collection will be available from November 17, 2025, exclusively on ZARA’s official online store.
