Under the creative direction of Seán McGirr, British luxury house McQueen presented its Spring/Summer 2026 pre-collection against the historic backdrop of Eltham Palace in London. The collection explores a distinct McQueen universe in which traditional British elements intersect with modern freedom and hedonistic expression.

At the heart of the narrative are young people seeking momentary liberation from the noise of urban life. Slim, tailored silhouettes that pair washed denim with a cummerbund embody a balance between unrestrained ease and refined elegance.
A quiet tension that lingers between rebellion and romance permeates the collection, evoking the mood of Dafydd Jones’s The Last Hurrah.
Black silk embroidered with motifs reminiscent of shattered chandeliers transforms into sharp, formally tailored pieces. Glossy metal T-bars introduce a striking contrast to classic black-tie attire, highlighting a meticulous beauty that recalls the craftsmanship of Savile Row.
Signature archival elements such as the “MacQueen” tartan and delicate florals are reinterpreted from a fresh perspective, emerging with a modern sensibility that harmonizes with nature. Fabrics flow and overlap with soft drapes, expressing a distinctive McQueen presence.
First introduced in the Spring/Summer 2010 collection, the Manta Bag returns in a renewed form—now evolved into a design that shifts fluidly in shape, combining suppleness with sharp structure.
The lineup also includes quintessential British outerwear: waxed-cotton country jackets, gabardine car coats, and black sculpted leather pieces. These garments are reconstructed with tightened silhouettes, embodying McQueen’s signature urban, sculptural attitude.
