French luxury maison Dior has opened a new flagship destination, House of Dior Beijing, in the heart of Sanlitun, one of Beijing’s most dynamic cultural and commercial districts. More than a retail space, the new location is conceived as an immersive environment that brings together architecture, art, and gastronomy, offering visitors a multidimensional experience of the Dior universe.
The building was designed by renowned French architect Christian de Portzamparc, whose sculptural approach defines the structure’s striking presence. The façade features a series of petal-like shells formed by clean, flowing lines, a design that evokes the movement of toile fabric used by Christian Dior when cutting haute couture garments. The architecture translates the Maison’s couture heritage into a contemporary urban landmark.

Paying homage to Christian Dior’s early aspiration to become an architect, House of Dior Beijing embodies a dialogue between the brand’s heritage and modern expression. Spread across five floors bathed in soft natural light, the interior is unified by a dramatic spiral staircase that guides visitors through a spatial narrative of Dior’s aesthetic codes.
Inside, the space includes private VIP lounges as well as Monsieur Dior, a restaurant overseen by Anne-Sophie Pic, the most Michelin-starred female chef in the world. The presence of gastronomy further extends Dior’s vision of lifestyle and savoir-faire beyond fashion.

Additional highlights include concept rooms filled with white toile references to haute couture craftsmanship, alongside a private terrace overlooking the city of Beijing. Each floor presents a distinct experience, unified by a subtle balance between couture tradition and contemporary sensibility.
Reflecting Christian Dior’s close relationships with artists throughout his life, the interior is enriched with artworks by Wang Xiao, Hong Hao, Franck Evennou, and Gio Ponti. This integration of art underscores the Maison’s long-standing commitment to creative dialogue across disciplines.
In celebration of the holiday season, the building’s window displays have been transformed into a theatrical spectacle. Miniature scenes unfold like a visual odyssey, drawing visitors into Dior’s dreamlike world. Exclusive creations available only at this location further reinforce the flagship’s unique positioning.
Bringing together Beijing’s vibrant urban energy with the refined creativity of Paris, House of Dior Beijing stands as a new landmark for the Maison, symbolizing Dior’s continued investment in experiential luxury and its growing presence in the Chinese market.
