Hilfiger Ventures, co-founded by one of the leading American fashion designers Tommy Hilfiger and Joe Lamastra, released a mobile AI fashion game “FashionVerse,” with global free-to-play game publisher Tilting Point.
This “FashionVerse” is a fusion of fashion and gaming, allowing players to express themselves creatively using photorealistic AI technology. It is an irresistible platform for fashion lovers who can choose realistic avatars and cosmetics from a variety of models, and experience and acquire everything from real-world brand-inspired clothing to the latest trends.
The idea for FashionVerse actually came from Hilfiger himself. Hilfiger has long dreamed of creating a large-scale fashion game through an immersive, community-based model using the latest technology, and this is what finally took shape.
“It’s been a life goal of mine to make fashion more accessible. Given how many people engage with fashion through their phones, I thought, there has to be a way to bring everyone together into one community, providing a more immersive experience,” said  Hilfiger in a statement ahead of the game launch in January 2024.
The game has two modes: Stylist Mode and Trendsetter Mode. Stylist mode challenges players to create more fashionable outfits, while Trend Setter mode challenges them to create more trend-focused mood boards, putting them at the center of the fashion world. In addition, all creations can be shared, voted on, and commented on by other players, making for a more interactive community-building experience. Currently, FashionVerse is accessible on iOS and Android, as well as through the Netflix mobile app.
Tommy Hilfiger will return to New York Fashion Week, which begins February 9, for the first time in a year and a half this season. The last show (Spring/Summer 2023 collection), held at the Skyline Drive-In in Brooklyn, fused the real and digital worlds by live-streaming the show on Roblox simultaneously with the actual runway show, and by allowing visitors to receive free NFT at the show venue.
The upcoming Tommy Hilfiger show on Friday, February 9 at 8 p.m. may include FashionVerse-related staging in the latest collection.
