Dior has recently appointed actress and model Charlize Theron as an ambassador for the house’s skincare and jewelry lines.
Theron has been the face of Dior’s J’adore fragrance since 2004 and has already established a 20-year relationship with the French house.
On this appointment, Theron said, “It’s exciting to start this chapter in a longstanding partnership with Dior. Over the past 20 years, it’s been an honor to collaborate creatively with the house as the face of j’Adore. I’m proud of all we have been able to create together and to be joining Dior in celebrating the beauty of Jewelry and Skincare. I’m looking forward to what’s to come.”
Delphine Arnault, Chairman and CEO of Christian Dior Couture, also commented, “I am particularly proud to welcome Charlize Theron as Dior’s jewelry ambassador. Charlize is an icon and is the perfect representation of the alliance between arts, craftsmanship and dreams magnificently embodied by the jewelry created by Victoire de Castellane for the House of Dior.”
“Charlize is a member of our family who embodies the Dior spirit that we treasure. Her rare talent, her commitment, and her otherworldly beauty makes her an icon. She is also, and therein lies her genius, truly down to earth,” said Véronique Courtois, the CEO or Parfums Christian Dior. Courtois added, “She is a woman who speaks to, and is liked by, other women. It therefore seems natural to reveal her myriad facets at the heart of the Dior world, by celebrating her triumphant femininity into other areas so appreciated by women: skincare on top of jewelry.”
A South African-born Hollywood actress, Theron continues to attract moviegoers with her beauty and talent, as well as her acting ability to take on a wide range of roles. This year, she will also star in the upcoming “The Old Guard 2.”
In addition, Theron founded the Charlize Theron Africa Outreach Project (CTAOP) in 2007, which works to improve the health and safety of young people in southern Africa. In addition, Dior has been supporting this initiative since 2020 through its “Chin Up – Dior stands with women” campaign.
