On May 13, 2026, Dior will present its Cruise 2027 show in Los Angeles. The venue is the grounds of the Los Angeles County Museum of Art — known as LACMA — with the newly opened David Geffen Galleries serving as the backdrop for Jonathan Anderson’s debut cruise show.
Anderson was appointed Creative Director of Dior in March 2025, becoming the first designer since the house’s founder, Christian Dior — who established the maison in 1947 — to oversee all three divisions: womenswear, menswear, and couture.
A New Stage Born from Two Decades of Vision
The David Geffen Galleries, where the show will take place, is the first American project by a Pritzker Prize laureate — Swiss architect Peter Zumthor. With a total construction cost of approximately $724 million and more than two decades in the making, the building is set to open with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on April 19, 2026, followed by two weeks of priority member access before opening to the general public on May 4.
Spanning Wilshire Boulevard at 900 feet in length and encompassing 110,000 square feet of exhibition space, the monumental structure serves as the new permanent home for LACMA’s collection. Dior’s show takes place just nine days after the building opens to the public — a world-class luxury house stepping into a space still in the first flush of its debut, creating an evening where city, culture, and fashion converge.
As interest in the American market continues to grow across the luxury industry, Gucci is scheduled to present its Cruise 2027 show in New York on May 16, followed by Louis Vuitton on May 20. With Europe’s leading houses choosing to make their statements on American soil this season, Dior sets the pace — opening the chapter first.
