On February 20, Givenchy announced its Summer 2026 campaign, The Portrait Series III, created under the direction of Creative Director Sarah Burton. The campaign was photographed by Collier Schorr.
The Set as Canvas
The new campaign captures authentic moments from the set itself, expressing the emotions and shared joy among women through the immediacy of the photographic process. Burton’s approach deliberately dissolves the conventional boundaries between subject, model, and photographer, reframing the relationship between the one who captures the image and the one being captured.
Rather than presenting a static fashion narrative, the series positions the act of image-making as a dynamic exchange—where presence, perspective, and collaboration become central themes.
A Celebration of Collective Creativity
Expanding on the “collective atmosphere” introduced in Burton’s first campaign for the house, The Portrait Series III brings together a diverse group of creative figures. Participants include photographer Annie Leibovitz, models Kaia Gerber and Liu Wen, artist Isabelle Albuquerque, and model Selena Forest.
Each individual—distinct in discipline and identity—contributes to what the house describes as a gathering of diverse talents that continually inspire Burton’s design imagination. Through this convergence of perspectives, the campaign celebrates a form of collective creativity that extends beyond fashion imagery, highlighting dialogue, individuality, and shared artistic energy.
