H&M Launches “H&M&RedStage,” a New Initiative Fusing Fashion and Music

H&M

Fashion and music have long evolved in close dialogue, continuously shaping and influencing one another. While wardrobes define the spirit of musical eras, artists in turn redefine how we express ourselves through style. Against this backdrop, H&M has launched a new music initiative, “H&M&RedStage.”

Conceived as a platform exploring the intersection of fashion, music, and self-expression, the project brings together globally established artists and emerging talents. By reinterpreting existing tracks through new creative perspectives, it offers a fresh exploration of how style and sound converge.

For its inaugural edition, R&B singer Givēon takes on the role of central creative force. Known for his distinctive baritone voice and emotionally resonant performances on tracks such as “Heartbreak Anniversary” and “Chicago Freestyle,” he brings a deeply personal dimension to the project. Through this collaboration, Givēon expands his musical universe, presenting new possibilities for artistic expression.

As curator, Givēon selected two rising artists to reinterpret his work: London-based Absolutely and Australian artist Dhee. Each brings a unique perspective, reshaping Givēon’s signature songs through their own artistic lens.

Absolutely reimagines “Heartbreak Anniversary” into a more intimate and introspective version, preserving the emotional core of the original while introducing a softer, more vulnerable sensibility. Meanwhile, Dhee reworks “Like I Want You” into a richly layered soundscape, subtly incorporating Indian influences and weaving together rhythm, atmosphere, and emotion.

Givēon also revisited his own catalogue, recording new versions of his songs and offering fresh interpretations of his existing work.

“I’m so grateful that Dhee and Absolutely agreed to be a part of this special journey,” Givēon said. “Seeing my work through their eyes was beautiful, surprising and enriching. It made me fall in love with my songs all over again. The energy in the studio was incredible to witness.”

Absolutely, one of the participating artists, also shared her thoughts on the project: “It is such an honour to offer my special twist of ‘Heartbreak Anniversary’. I view my music as a translation of everything that goes on in my mind: all different influences and experiences. So, this project was special to me, as it was about exploring identity, and what makes us unique, as artists, and as people.”

H&M has long maintained a close relationship with the world of music, collaborating with a wide range of artists over the years. This latest initiative builds on that legacy.

Jörgen Andersson, Chief Creative Officer of H&M, stated: “Fashion, creativity, and music bring people together at many cross points. Giving a global stage to established as well as emerging talents truly encompasses what the H&M brand stands for.”

The first releases from the project are now available on Spotify and Apple Music, marking a new chapter in how fashion brands engage with music as a cultural medium.
