On January 7, LVMH announced a leadership reshuffle at its maison Givenchy, appointing Amandine Ohayon as the brand’s new Chief Executive Officer. Her appointment will take effect on January 9, 2026. As part of this transition, Alessandro Valenti, the former CEO of Givenchy, will assume the role of Deputy Managing Director in charge of Commercial Activities at Christian Dior Couture.
Givenchy’s Growth Strategy Under a New Leadership Structure
Ohayon will report to Pietro Beccari, who serves as Chairman and CEO of Louis Vuitton and, as of January 1, 2026, Chairman and CEO of the LVMH Fashion Group.
Commenting on her appointment, Beccari stated: “With her unique ability to collaborate with the most creative talents, coupled with her inclusive leadership and retail expertise, I am convinced Amandine will play a pivotal role in further accelerating the new growth chapter of Givenchy, the iconic French haute couture maison.”
Givenchy is one of the core brands within the LVMH Fashion Group, alongside Celine, Loewe, Fendi, Kenzo, Pucci, Patou, and Marc Jacobs. However, amid the recent slowdown in the global luxury market, Givenchy has been more severely affected than many of its peers and has lagged behind other group brands in its recovery. Against this backdrop, Ohayon has been tasked with leading the brand’s turnaround alongside Givenchy’s creative director, Sarah Burton.
Alessandro Valenti Takes on a New Role at Dior
Valenti will officially assume his new position at Christian Dior Couture on January 12, 2026. In his new role, he will report to Deputy CEO Pierre-Emmanuel Angeloglou and join the maison’s executive committee.
Valenti was appointed CEO of Givenchy in 2024. Prior to that, he spent nearly a decade at LVMH, most recently serving as President of the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region at Louis Vuitton.
Reflecting on Valenti’s tenure, Sidney Toledano, who handed over leadership of the LVMH Fashion Group to Beccari on January 1, 2026, commented: “Alessandro demonstrated exceptional determination and efficiency in managing Givenchy’s transitional phase. As a result, the company is now optimally positioned to leverage its reshaped organisation, thereby facilitating future growth. I am very pleased to see Amandine join Givenchy and continue the development of this ambitious project, alongside Sarah Burton.”
Broader Leadership and Creative Reshuffles Across the LVMH Fashion Group
Leadership and creative changes are currently unfolding across the LVMH Fashion Group, reflecting a broader industry-wide reset. In addition to Givenchy, Celine appointed Michael Rider as Creative Director, while Loewe named Jack McCollough and Lazaro Hernandez as its new creative director duo. At Fendi, Maria Grazia Chiuri has been appointed Chief Creative Officer.
On the executive side, Ramon Ros has been named CEO of Fendi, while Charlotte Coupé has been appointed CEO of Kenzo. Together, these appointments underscore LVMH’s ongoing efforts to realign both creative direction and management structures across its fashion portfolio as it enters a new phase of growth.
