On April 6, Paris-based diamond jewelry maison Messika announced the appointment of actress Kiko Mizuhara as its new maison ambassador.
With roots in both Japan and the United States, Mizuhara is recognized not only as a fashion icon but also as an entrepreneur, leading her own company, Office Kiko. She will now serve as the new face of Messika’s signature Move collection, playing a central role in the maison’s global strategy.
This announcement does not come as a surprise. In October 2025, Mizuhara attended Messika’s high jewelry show held at the Musée des Arts Décoratifs during Paris Fashion Week, appearing front row. That same month, she was also present at the celebration of the brand’s newly opened boutique on Madison Avenue in New York, reflecting a relationship that has been steadily cultivated over time.
According to Messika, Mizuhara embodies “youthfulness, a sense of freedom, and a contemporary edge,” qualities that resonate deeply with the brand’s spirit.
Founder and Artistic Director Valérie Messika commented on the appointment: “What draws me to Kiko is her duality. She has a natural softness that attracts people, combined with an underlying avant-garde strength. This unexpected contrast is what makes her so captivating. When she wears diamonds, they feel as though they are a natural extension of her—effortless and free. That is precisely the signature of Messika.”
Her words echo the maison’s long-standing philosophy of “wearing diamonds freely.”
A Cross-Generational, Cross-Cultural Ambassador Strategy
In March 2026, Messika also appointed Academy Award-winning actress Julianne Moore as a maison ambassador. While Moore represents intellect and timeless elegance, Mizuhara brings a next-generation perspective, with strong influence across both Asian and global audiences.
By positioning these two contrasting figures as the faces of the maison, Messika clearly signals its intention to build a brand identity that transcends generations and cultures.
The “Moving Diamond” and a New Vision of Femininity
Moving forward, Mizuhara will appear in global campaigns for the Move collection and across key international platforms. This partnership reflects Messika’s vision of entrusting its iconic codes to women who navigate the modern era with fluidity and strength.
A balance of softness and resilience, constantly evolving—this mirrors the very essence of the Move collection’s concept of the “moving diamond.”
Founded in Paris in 2005 by Valérie Messika, who was born into a family of diamond dealers, the maison has redefined traditional diamond jewelry through a contemporary lens. Known for staging high jewelry runway shows during Paris Fashion Week, Messika continues to stand apart through its innovative approach. The brand entered the Japanese market in 2020 and currently operates nine directly managed stores in the country.
