On July 9, Giorgio Armani, one of Italy’s leading luxury brands, announced that it will hold its Spring/Summer 2025 show in New York instead of Milan. The show will take place on Thursday, October 17, marking the first time in 11 years that the brand will have a runway show in New York.
Originally scheduled to be held in Milan, where the brand’s headquarters are located, however, the event was changed to coincide with the inauguration of the new building to be opened on Madison Avenue in New York City. According to the brand, the newly launched space will completely transform into residential units, Armani/Ristorante, the new Giorgio Armani, and Armani/Casa boutiques.
“Pragmatic and conscientious, the designer has decided to concentrate celebration of this important new opening and his return, after eleven years, to New York into a single event,” the company commented in a statement.
After the presentation of this memorable New York show, an after-party is planned, inviting Armani’s close friends and industry associates.
The New York Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2025 will be held from September 6 to 11, and Milan Fashion Week for the Spring/Summer 2025 from September 17 to 23. Armani will not participate in these fashion weeks, and their shows will take place outside the official calendar. On the other hand, the Fall-Winter 2025 collection will be presented in Milan in February 2025 as usual.
