Bottega Veneta Unveils New Venice-Inspired Fragrance

Bottega Veneta

Bottega Veneta has unveiled a new fragrance collection crafted under the creative direction of Matthieu Blazy. While the brand is renowned for its signature leather goods, intricately woven using the Intrecciato technique, this new collection of fragrances fully reflects Bottega Veneta’s aesthetic and attention to detail.

Blazy drew inspiration for the fragrances from the rich history of Venice, the brand’s birthplace. As a historical hub where diverse cultures intersected, Venice thrived as a major trade center, and its multicultural influences are reflected in the blend of these perfumes. Each fragrance merges ingredients from different countries, covering a range of scent categories influenced by the North, South, East, and West. Additionally, all of the perfumes are made exclusively from 100% natural origin essences, showcasing a strong commitment to sustainability.

The collection consists of five distinct fragrances, each with its own unique story.

“Colpo di Sole” is a refreshing scent reminiscent of the Mediterranean sun, while “Come With Me” offers a sweet and elegant tribute to Moroccan orange blossoms. “Acqua Sale” captures the freshness of woods and saltwater, and “Déjà Minuit” features spicy floral notes of geranium and cardamom. Lastly, “Alchemie” combines Brazilian pink pepper and Somali myrrh for a deep, sensorial experience.

The allure of these fragrances is not limited to the scents themselves—the bottles are equally remarkable. Each one is crafted from hand-blown glass, designed to mirror the surface of Venetian waters, paying homage to the traditional Murano glassmaking techniques. The wooden caps, unique to each scent, evoke the grandeur of Venetian palaces. The base of each bottle is made from Verde Saint Denis marble, a material also used in Bottega Veneta boutiques, making the bottles not only a fragrance container but a sophisticated decorative object. Additionally, the bottles are refillable, allowing them to be cherished for years.

Bottega Veneta first launched a fragrance in 2011 and continued to release scents until 2021. However, this new collection marks the brand’s first foray into perfumes under the new beauty division, Kering Beauté, established by Kering.

Each fragrance is priced at $450 (refills available for $320) and can be purchased through Bottega Veneta’s official website and boutiques.
