CFDA Announces Preliminary Schedule for New York Fashion Week in February 2025

On January 14, the Council of Fashion Designers of America (CFDA) announced the preliminary schedule for the Fall/Winter 2025 runway season of New York Fashion Week (NYFW).

The schedule features over 52 runway shows, designer presentations, digital releases, and by-appointment presentations. The event will kick off on Thursday, February 6, with a runway show by Brandon Maxwell, and conclude on Tuesday, February 11, with a finale by CFDA Chairman Thom Browne.

Notable Returning and Debuting Brands

This season welcomes the return of prominent brands such as Carolina Herrera, Coach, Michael Kors Collection, Prabal Gurung, Sandy Liang, Tory Burch, and Altuzarra. Additionally, under the direction of its new creative director, Veronica Leoni, Calvin Klein will debut its first collection.

The schedule also features several first-time participants, including Alexis Bittar, LEBLANCSTUDIOS, Vettese, and Zoe Gustavia Anna Whalen. Another highlight will be the “GQ Bowl” event in New Orleans, where Bode Rec. will present its collection alongside a musical performance, featuring models, athletes, and special guests.

Joseph Maglieri, CFDA’s Director of Fashion Week Initiatives, remarked, “NYFW serves as the premier opportunity for designers and brands to tell their story and share their work in the ways that speak to their communities and business needs. This upcoming season represents themes we see across the industry: calibration and innovation.” He added, I “It reminds us of the importance of brand sovereignty and stamina, and the significance of remaining authentic to where they are now in order to plan for where they want to be in the future.”

The International Reach of the NYFW Travel Fund

The CFDA established the NYFW Travel Fund in 2022 to amplify the cultural, artistic, and economic impact of New York Fashion Week. To date, the fund has supported nearly 44 international fashion journalists through financial and in-kind contributions made possible by brand donations and strategic partnerships.
